We do NOT grind/polish our welds as some other manufacturers do. Grinding welds compromises the strength of the weld, and can lead to weld failure!
You don't have to remove the engine or trans because the downpipes are in two pieces?
Factory downpipes will need to be cut just above the bottom cat if you don't want to remove the transmission and Mike's Custom downpipes can then be fitted.
If you want to keep your factory downpipes in tack the transmission will need to be removed.
I chose to have my transmission removed to keep my factory downpipes in tack which took approximately 6 hours.

I recomend having them ceramic heat coated as it will drop your under bonnet temperature significantly.
