Unhappy Damaged Undertray (by shop)

So I took my car in this morning for a secondary cat delete. The guy wanted to let the car sit for an hour or two for the exhaust to cool down before working on it, which is reasonable. So I decided to go run some errands in the meantime. So I asked to grab some stuff from the car (up on the lift) before I leave. Someone else at the shop helped me and started to lower the lift. Then we heard a loud CRACK.

Turns out that the exhaust support (basically a support stand with a U shape at the top, that they use to hold exhaust piping in place) was under the lift, and punctured the front of my front undertray.

One of the punctures is slit-like, and the other it a bit larger cuz of the location. Both are toward the front, on the right side. I stuck my finger in, and the area seems to be hollow. No critical structures from what I could feel, and no leaking fluids etc.

I do wanna mention my car is an Edition One. I know some parts are specific to that car (front lip, rear trunk spoiler, rear bumper diffuser, etc). Not sure if the undertray is any different; I wouldn't think so, as the bumper is the same and the drivetrain is the same as other C63S AMGs.

So here's my question. They said they're going to discount my invoice. Should I just take that and call it a day? Should I be worried about anything under the undertray being damaged? I dunno if I want a muffler shop removing the undertray on my car (I'm very particular). Or is that unnecessary? Or should I be requesting replacing the undertray on their dime? I have no idea how much it costs, but the damage seems to be cosmetic. I doubt the 1 slit and 1 slightly larger hole will affect the function of the undertray...

Last thing I wanna say is, I'm not looking to capitalize on the situation. Only what's right and necessary. If this was a body panel, yea I woulda required them to cover the costs of professional body repair etc. Or a mechanical issue, I'd expect it repaired. But this seems more cosmetic than functional...or am I wrong?

TIA!

I would do 1: Have them remove the undertray and inspect for any additional damage. 2: Have them cover the cost for a new undertray.

Me too. I can't imagine doing anything else.

Is the puncture large enough for water or pebbles to get into it?
At the very least they should seal the puncture.

They removed it, checked for damage, and are covering the cost of a new undertray, and will be replacing it themselves.
