Highly recommend these service plans with these cars as they typically give back way more than the cost if you keep the car for a few years. You can also roll the cost into the financing at time of purchase.
how has it paid for itself I'm just 2 years ?I find that hard to believe.

Believe it, the pre-paid service easily pays for itself for a Mercedes in 2-years.

I agree unless you pay like the guys posting above that paid $679 for a B Ser.
I paid $319 for a B last year and Tues I go in for a A Ser. and will pay $219.
I priced the Maint. agreement and it was way more than paying as I go.
They try to say the future prices might go up but I did not bite.

ok because I calculated it all out before I purchased the car and I swear somehow the prepaid was more expensive than paying as you go and there is interest on top of that since it's financed. I figured it was for people who wanted to not worry about paying in the future ?Not to mention if you just go to a certified mb mechanic they can do all the work for a fraction of the price...

In Toronto, it's different, because all the dealerships here are CORPORATE owned (not franchised). As a result, all the dealerships charge "full price" for service, no discounts available. There are some franchised dealerships, but they are all at least an hour away from the city (too much of a hassle to make a trip to save a few bills).

hit something with a rear wheel that destroyed the tire and wheel. Replacement wheel retail is $2500, tire $345, plan was $2700. Easy math and still have three more wheels and tires on the plan. This is also my 5th new AMG and have learned through past experience to ALWAYS purchase the service and other plans. It always works out in my favor. I’d also recommend extended service plans if you keep the car. I had factory warranty on my E55 for eight years! They lost their *** on that one.

I do suppose it depends a lot on who does your service. I take mine to the local dealer and they charge full pop for scheduled service and I like the free loaner and easy in and out too. So for me it’s a matter of convenience. I’m sure I could source it out to a less expensive Indy shop and save a few bucks but it’s not worth the headache to me. I’m also very happy with my local dealer which is why I’ve had five of these cars. I also like BMW, AUDI and Porsche but the dealers are all, owned by a company I refuse to do business with so MB it is.
