To properly install this diffuser you need to remove the rear bumper. if you dont remove it, it will fit just how it does in your pictures.

Was the screw in question part of the install hardware that came

with the item or was this part of an improvised fitment effort -

So can you adjust them so that they align correctly?

I posted a thread with lots of details and pics about this, mode carbon blew me up with PMs and emails to take it down and let them "resolve" my issue for me. I wasn't trying to get anything free, there wasn't a defect, I hit debris on interstate and it broke. My issue was that they are liars and rebranding cheap Chinese BS and selling it as premium product. Not true.

Mode carbon got the thread closed down, I guess being a MBWorld sponsor has its perks.
So that is what happened to that thread I was looking for it a few days back as I get confused which company was responsible

Glad my experience could shed some light and help you out in the future! That's the only reason I posted that thread, just to spread awareness on them. I didn't want refunds or replacements to keep me quiet on the issue.

yeah dude. I own a ecom business and I feel the way they responded to you was probably the worst way possible in short of telling you to **** off. Since their business relies heavily on the reputation here, I wonder what long term impact it will have.

It'll get buried and forgotten through the countless "will 295s fit" threads that are posted in this place....... Just as they intended. But I'll forever pipe up and share my experience when I see it may be useful info around here.

Lol dude they were so desperate literally spamming my PM and email asking me what I want to make it go away... Like I could be bribed or something lmao it was pathetic AF

Like ok, charge GRAPE prices on carbon stuff cause we have amg cars whatever.... But atleast make them or do something different than just buy from China and slap sticker on box... Like that's just some serious messed up stuff to make 800-1k on someone by just rebranding chinese trash and acting like it's of highest quality hand made in the US or something.... I mean for 1k-1.2k for a carbon lip is ridiculous and it should be of ridiculous quality. The bmw guys pay half or even less what we pay on stuff like wtf

I have Mercedes Carbon Fiber, RW and Mode on my Cabriolet. All added after initial purchase. Quality is in that order in my opinion. With that said there are some challenges mounting some pieces from either aftermarket brand. Some massaging may be required. Front and rear bumpers must come off to properly install most pieces.

Interesting comparison on mirror covers. The RW Carbon mirror covers are carbon fiber overlay on a plastic base. Their coloring is off from factory and other pieces. Maybe clear coat discoloring. Went with them because it was $350 a pair and factory Mercedes is around $1500 for the pair. After noticing the color difference, I ordered Mercedes ones and they are beautiful.

As as a final note on manufacturing location, I do business all around Asia, and a simply US is good and China is bad is not a good assumption. You will find good and bad in both locations. Example below. Mercedes mirror covers are made in China and beautiful.

Hey Jeff,

Thanks for the post and side-by-side comparison.

Where did you get the part #s for the AMG genuine parts? I've looked through the C63 parts catalog and it doesn't list any CF accessories. Eg sideview mirrors, sideskirts, front lip, Euro front trim, etc.

Thanks!

Thanks for sharing your pictures and opinion -

A while back I called RW and asked how their

Carbon Fiber matched up with Mercedes OEM Carbon Fiber -

I was told it was a perfect match - both weave and color -

Once again first hand experience shows the difference -

And why Mercedes uses the Carbon Fiber they do -

Mercedes OEM Carbon Fiber costs more up front -

But you get what you pay for -

Thank-You

Thanks for that.

I looked around a bit on the parts diagram and came up with this:

Left mirror cover: 0998109100
Right mirror cover: 0998109200
Left sideskirt: 2056980862

That's a statement, not a question, correct? Cuz that would be great news.

Here’s a simple fact, our products are made of 100% carbon fiber. That is not an opinion or subject to decision.

OP, we urge you to share your experience, as from we recall, you’re already a satisfied customer of ours.

Our pricing is reflected by being 1ST to market with all of our designs. The aforementioned company, merely knock’s off all and everybody’s designs to then charge a lesser amount. Without us, you wouldn’t be able to buy the products for half off or lesser, simply because we envision these in our own minds.

We have several thousands of customers that may attest to our quality standard and our follow-through customer service. Have we had some unhappy people along the way? Have we supported them all the way through the end? If anybody feels spite towards our quality, we urge you to reach out, despite when you purchased the item. This is your time.

With the replacement items aforementioned, our products are offered to the market before America unveils them, as we use European VIN numbers to create them. We structure our pricing from the best information we have in front of us when we unveil our products. Rightfully so, this platform is coming to an end and we will reconsider pricing structure on our end.

Ultimately, we are not hiding or running. Our address is listed publicly and we are more than happy to greet and meet anyone from the community face to face. If you would like to put your confidence behind a vendor located 7500 miles away from NYC, be our guest. We manage our business from the United States of America and our first language is English. We justify our prices through being effective leaders and servicing the community thoroughly through and through.
