Can someone post a list of what fun options and how we can change them with Xentry and make this a sticky?

I too would be greatly interested in this.

REALLY want a way to have car stay in Sport +, I, Race etc. after turning off instead of reverting to Comfort mode every damn time.

This was relatively easy to accomplish in my M4, but can't seem to find any solution for my C63S from my research thus far.

 

There is a way to do that....

Interesting, I had an M4 before and it always reverted to comfort on start up every time. Now with the C63s it remembers the settings on turn-off for up to 4 hours when you start her up again.

 

My M4 wouldn't remember and would revert to comfort as well, but it was simple to get some coding done to fix that. My '18 C63s reverts even if I turn car off and immediately turn it back on.

 

Same here. I think anyone who says the car stores the last setting is miss-remembering (at least i the US, not sure about Canada or elsewhere).

 

If you have a C4 mux you can download Vedaimo and change a lot of coding that can't be changed via Xentry.

 

It must be an Australian build spec, we can only purchase the ‘s’ here and it comes fully loaded - even with the unrestricted top speed.

 

What is Vedaimo and what mux do you recommend? I have seen many Xentry offers on eBay that include a mux....

Brief description of Vedaimo (You need to be very IT / Computer savvy to use it)

Description:
The latest version Vediamo 05.00.05 (Mercedes Vediamo Software) is used by the plant engineers to develop diagnosis and engineering software, which is now used by Xentry and DAS, is based on the Mercedes Benz super engineering version developed and delivered to the general customer service dealers’ use.

The use of Mercedes Benz super engineering version has no limitation in diagnosis / modification / programming function are open which can not be through the VEDOC (the original application code changes with flow) can be free to increase or decrease the SA code, modify the objective, for example: the increase of vehicles equipped with SA500 electric folding mirrors. Commonly known as the Xentry and DAS development mode: open data project version in 2010 after the release, increase the number of functional limitations. So we will meet the vehicle version is too new to be into the control unit in use, or are unable to do any special modifications to the control unit.

 

I appreciate this, but I don't understand some of what you wrote.... Can someone explain further?

 

How do you think about DTS Monaco

 

Shardul pretty much explained the whole concept of Vediamo.
There is another software does most the same thing, but more powerful and easy to use, its DTS Monaco. I use both DTS Monaco & Vediamo, I can do tons of customizing settings on All MB cars, some of them are hidden by MB but very useful and cool.

For example ,
1. ALL vehicle which equip with dual multifunction camera, I could enable Traffic Sign Assist if your car does not have this function. Because MB hide it and they could sale the function for money in the future.
2. ALL vehicle which equip with parking radar sensor, I could set Alarm sound frequency related to the distance to the obstacle, instead of stock only make Alarm sound at the red zone( 30cm ). We call it synchronization.
3. ALL vehicle which equip with 360 camera, I could change the disable speed ( Distract screen engage), allow you can have more time or view around at higher speed.
4. Change temp. pressure gauge unit on cluster and Command Online ( C<->F , psi<->bar <->kpa, hp(SAE or DIN), N m <-> lb ft).
5. Disable Distract protection( allow VIDEO IN MOTION, spell input to Navi, Message while moving, and more ) Do not use them when you are driving!
6. Remove E-speed limiter, and also you can enable a menu called Winter Tire Speed Limiter on cluster, and you can choose how fast you dont want to pass, as low you can set 160km/h=100mph).
7. Adding some equipments when the car does not have them installed from factory, even transplant some from other model. ( But you need pay a lot to buy those parts compare to buy options installed by factory when they build the car. And for installation some of them are not easy as plug and play.).
8. Enable Blue Welcome home light for W beginning VIN W205 equip with Dynamic Head Light (IHL) without changing headlight assembly, 55SWF beginning...NVM, also vehicle has SA Code 608( Automatic High Beam Switch) could upgrade to Code 628 (Automatic High Beam Switch Plus) If you has dual multifunction camera.
9. Upgrade all control unit software without online daimler account, also you could downgrade.
10. Too many....
11. In general, all ppl talk about some setting or function they dont like and they want to change, I believe 99% of them can be achieved. 1% is still no solution for Apple Car Play and Android Auto for W205 before MY2018 without swapping Command Online Unit.

I would say, with those two software I could even build a car from every single pieces (IF PARTS FIT ). even the model does not exist( create a new car for MB ).
XENTRY can not do to much, compare those two software, its a baby toy.

Looks like we have a lot tech savy guys in one place here. Seems to be the perfect place to ask this question, haha. I was wondering if you guys can answer a question for me.

If I got an ECU tune and somehow the tuners misplaced my stock tune file, is there any way I can go back to stock if I want? Let me give some context, I originally got an ECU tune, that was giving me a bunch of problems and the car was throwing CELs. So the tuner flashed me back to stock or atleast that is what they told me. But honestly, the car does not feel or sound the same as it was originally. It is almost as if this is someone else's car. I thought this was placebo, until I made an exact same video with my go pro and compared a video between now and a few months ago when I was stock. And the car sounds waaaaay more muted than before. The lift off burbles can't almost be heard after the reflash. I really believe this definitely is not in my head. Can the tuner actually flash me with someone else's file by any chance?

The last thing I would like to know is if any dealership can actually take me back to stock? As in reflash my ECU with the original software my car came with. If this can be done, in your experience what would be the easiest way to get it done?

Would really appreciate the answer.

 

Yes you can take it to the dealership and ask them to flash the stock file back on the car. However beware they will ask you why and if you tell them what you have to the ECU in the past I am sure they will flag to car in their system.

 

Haha, I was aware of this part about the warranty. Can I just be very stubborn and say the car does not sound the same anymore? Just trying to see if there is a way to save the warranty here.

 

I seriously doubt it. These cars are incredibly complicated and any trip to the dealer for electrical/ECU issues is logged and diagnosed by Techs then sent over to MB. Most issues have to be approved/ appropriate files then sent over by mercedes. This is what I’ve been told by a friend that is a tech. I’d procure the software elsewhere if it’s even possible. Stories like yours make me not want to mess with engine management even though I badly want to tune. Something small like making the DRL brightness higher seems like a risk not worth taking.

 

Yes you can say something on those lines and the first thing they will do is update all the SW on the car.

Not only software, you need hardware also. You can get them like a package from ebay, or some OBD tools seller. But I am not recommend you to do any modification on your car by yourself before you fully understand how everything works, you could cause thousands of non fixable damage just by one misclick! ( it happened on me !)
