Almost time to change oil which is the correct procedure?

I have 6k miles on my 2017 c63s coupe and need to do the first oil service. I went to the dealer and purchased the recommended parts to do it myself (I have a lift in my garage) When my service advisor came over to say hello and asked I needed some help. I proceeded to explain what i was going to do and he replied why don't you just pump it out from the dipstick Instead of opening the 2 drain plugs under the car. That's how we do it here and it will save you some time and money. My question is: Which is the correct way to do this ? Now that i have my doubts....

I have never done it for this car before however in my past experience, you still need to remove the drain plugs because they're magnetic and designed to catch metal debris. So it needs to be removed and cleaned after you drain the oil however you do that. Of course again as I said, thats how I do my other cars in the past.

Firstly drain plugs is not magnetic and not designed to catch metal debris. (All parts in this engine are aluminium and zirconium alloy, no iron parts.)
But oil need to be drained from two place, not suck out from dipstick.
I post this before, check it out.

It really is down to what you're comfortable with. Either way is correct. And if your MB service dept are sucking the oil out, then you know that's an approved way to do it.

I could tell you sucking oil is not an approved way on this car! If you found one dealer do this on the car, you could sue them.
