Nvigation screen goes blank
We own a 2017 C63S coupe. About (4) months ago we had a issue with the navigation screen going totally blank as if it were shut off. The dealership replaced the screen and updated the software. Today we had an issue that my wife was using the navigation system, I called her on the cell phone and the screen went blank. It did however start to work again. I attempted to simulate the issue but was unable to do so. Anyone else have similar issues?

Twice in about a year and a half the screen went black. The computer was still working because I could hear Bluetooth streaming. The solution in my case was to reset the computer (by holding the disc eject button for about ten seconds, you'll hear the power cut if the engine isn't on) and then turning the display back on (by just pressing down the volume scroll-wheel, the wheel is also a button that powers the display).

Yeah there are a couple of quirky electrical gremlins with the W205s. Another one is from time to time, I lose all my Individual settings. It resets back to default all by itself. Or sometimes, I can't even switch to Individual mode.

i have an early model 17 and its been doing this a lot lately. Last year i remember it maybe happening two or three times. I just got it out of winter storage 2 weeks ago and its happened 4 or 5 times. Twice i even turned the car off and on, hit the power button a bunch of time and it still wont work. What finally got it working both times was putting it in reverse so the back up camera would turn on, then after I put it back in drive the nav would come back like nothing happened. Also one of the times i couldn't change the engine mode out of comfort even after the screen started back up. I had to restart the car yet again before the worked.

Apparently with all these high tech computers and sensors are super sensitive with voltage. My issue was that my battery was running low wattage, so they replace the battery. Problem solved.

This happened for me after a software update at dealer. went back to dealer and apparently there was then a fix/patch update for this issue and then it never happened again after that.

My CLS63S had the same issue quite a few times and was replaced more than once. They finally got it fixed though I don't know what they had to do other than replace the module.

Hi guys, I have this same problem with my E63s from 2017.
Mercedes have refused to help with this problem.
Does anyone have some papers/courtdocuments where its stated that it is a factory fault or that you have got it replaced?
