Noise from brakes after hot lap = metallic clicking noise standing still = normal?

Noise from brakes after hot lap = metallic clicking noise standing still = normal?
Okay so had a real drive on lap with my car today which includes full power, lot of different types of hard brakes and so on - so much fun, but at stop and no brake applied I hear some weird metallic sounding clicking. You could hear it from both front brakes, with engine off.
Is this normal when the brakes are getting so hot as they were? Never heard that type of sound before, but also never had ceramic brakes on any of my cars before.
The car still drove normally after all the pushing and brakes worked normally afterwards. The sound also disappeared when applying brake but when released it and drive slowly i could hear it clicking sometimes again.
When I got home 20 mins later and drove it normally, everything was ok and no weird sound from the brakes. So just my concern left if this is something normal or not.

You sure it was from the brakes? Metallic clicking noises are very normal for a car that's been run hard (the sound of metal expanding), but it's more likely to be heard from the engine/exhaust area than the brakes. Either way, wouldn't worry me in the least unless it was very loud.
