So the car was written off today. They got to $69k damage and stopped counting. This car is a very safe car to drive. At that much damage and all I got was a sore nose from the airbag and bruising from the seatbelt. Here is my replacement car.
ahh... well that does complicate things somewhat. Maybe just respectfully address this with your adjuster and explain your concern, imo, a reasonable adjuster would realize this is something that was added that has no impact on the insured value of the car or its salvage. Good luck.
Not sure if asking the adjuster if you can remove a part that made the car not street legal anymore is a good idea.

I got the dinan kit back. When I went to pick up my belonging and license plate from the car today, I talked to the manager of the body shop. He said they saw it on the car and were curious what it was. I told him and he said the car was in the back corner of the lot and if I wanted to take it off, he didn't have an issue. When I was about 1/2 way done, one of his guys come over to see what I was doing and ended up helping me get it off. It came off a lot easier than it went on!
Congratulations on the new C63, and I'm glad to see you got the Dinan back!
I know it has only been one day, but how are you liking the cabriolet compared to the coupe?
Im curious too! i Just got a 17' C63S CAB and i love it but questioning my purchase as i also bought an R231 SL 65 at the same time. i LOVE my cab though.

I will have to let you know. I had to go out of town this morning on business so didn't get a chance to pick it up yet. Probably won't be able to get until Friday anyways as I am getting PPF installed before I get it.
