18' C63s Sedan rear tire size max

Hello! Just purchased a 2018 C63s Sedan and was wondering if I can put say a 295 wi 30 aspect on the rear (without rubbing on the fenders or anything) to replace those skinny 265s?

Thank you!!

Not on the OEM wheel; but even if you could, it would probably perform worse than a 285/35 due to having a much smaller sidewall and it's oversized for the wheel meaning the wheel won't offer the appropriate amount of support for the tire sidewall.

I went 255/275 with P4S and found this to be enough to handle the torque; still will get chirps from the wheels if I go full throttle at anything under 20 MPH, but above 30 MPH and it grips very well on flat pavement.

If you really want to go 295/30, and get the correct performance out of the tire as well as the looks, you should get properly sized wheels too.

Did you do 275/35 or 30? Do you have pics of the rears specifically?

Hello and thank you for your responses! New information from Mercedes: the service manager made some calls and the big AMG guys said yes! On the stock wheels you can mount 295s with the 30 aspect ratio and not have a problem. I am still a bit skeptical and am leaning more toward your opinion so I'm taking it to my tire guys tomorrow to look at 275s and 285s. I will keep you apprised and will send pictures of the final results! Thanks again men!!

Look at the Tire Rack charts and you will see they say that a 285 on stock rims is the largest size for a proper fit.

Hello. Yeah, I used to buy tires from them and then they got all squeamish on me (and everybody else). They would no longer recommend anything but manufacturer specs (probably got sued for making suggestions that when bad). Last one was on my 17' ATSV Coupe. Came with 275s on the rear and immediately changed them to 295s and they are still spot on and for fun I called Tire Rack to ask and they said ONLY the stock 275s and Cadillac also said the larger tires are fine. But, I may only do the 285 35s like you said. I think that'll be enough. Thanks!

I kept the 35s. The 30 is too small in a 275. Link to pics: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-c63s-...ml#post7266004
