New Front Grill C63s Coupe

Hi guys

Anyone thinking on changing the pre facelift front grill? Is that actually possible (plug & play)?

Thanks!

I just saw a C43 with the new C63 vertical slat grill. Had to do a double take on that.

I have to say, it looked spectacular.

Of course for the moment I ignored the fact that someone commited the crime of putting the 63 grill onto the 43 because its the first time I saw it, but it makes a big difference in the overall look.

And I'm not one who usually cares about the look that much.

Not sure if what he did was custom or if he somehow acquired the OEM 63 vertical slat grill before the car is available here in the USA, but if it is OEM, it obviously fits, so I say go for it (assuming you have an actual 63.... )

Thanks for the info

Waiting for someone to do it in his c63s and confirm if fits

Just goto the parts department, if its orderable, then it will most likely fit, as that guy with a 43 got it in there somehow. if its not orderable, then it was custom, and forget about it

I would find it a crime to put a 2019 grill on a 2018/older vehicle to give it the impression that it is the newest version. Reminds me of when they asked me if I wanted to rebadge my old C450 into a C43.

Lol somehow this is a big deal? It's a grill ffs. It's a product part not slapping a c63 badge on there.

I saw a Mazda 6 rebadged as a maserati today.

So I am assuming you wouldn't see it as a "crime" to replace C43 tailpipes with the quad C63 AMG tailpipes either, right?
From my POV, if you want to give the impression that the car is something else / something that it is not, why not just go and get the real thing. I would find it weird to slap on the panamericana grill on a car with an outdated rear. But to each their own :-)

I get it, everyone is now panicking that they will be mistaken for the C43 (lol)

Was wondering the same thing about the sedan--has anyone confirmed if the new grill will fit the existing C63s sedan?

Old headlights and new grille kinda makes the car look like Venom Spider man, with some class lol..

Saw this one today on normal C class diesel. Grabbed my attention! But wont fit a real c63

The difference is a C63 is still a C63, regardless of whether it has the old grill or the Panamerican grill. It's like the same person getting botox to look younger.

Putting C63 tailpipes on a C43 is different because you're trying to pretend that your car is a model that it is not. This is like pretending to be someone you're not.

I'm only lukewarm for the Panamerican grill, maybe I'll like it more after I see it in person. Regardless, the rear is only a little different where the diffuser is. I don't think changing only the front would make a huge difference. Not like you can see the front and rear diffuser at the same time anyway.

And that is what can start to happen with an update like the new grill. You start to have fraken cars with all kinds is mis matched parts, Base C-Class, C43s, diesels... Reminds me of when guys with the 1st gen 997s were retrofitting the LED tails to try to make people think they had the 997.2.
