2019 C63/S Sedan
Saw the other thread for coupes/cabs and thought sedans could use a tracking thread for production as well.

Have a C63WS in the order bank with a TX dealer. No allocation yet because of delays in the carbon fiber trim, according to the dealer. Anyone else experiencing this?

2016 C450 AMG
I'm in NorCal, C63 S sedan, I have my dealer's first allocation. Car is in production as of last week with an expected delivery date in November. I didn't order the carbon fiber trim but I did spec the digital IP.

Guys and gals I just want to remind EVERYONE that just because a car is being built that doesn't mean Mercedes will Release it.
My dad ordered in April a 2019 s63 sedan loaded.. Like 190k car.. It has been sitting in a port in Maryland wrapped in bubblewrap since August because Mercedes hasn't "released" the 2019 yet.
First I was told it was a software glitch.. then I was told the U.S. software needed to be updated. In reality it is because Mercedes hasn't given the go for the 2019 yet.
All articles read about our c63s whether it be coupe, cab, or sedan including the latest MotorTrend which has a c63 2 page spread says it won't be released until early 2019. So even if the car is ready until Mercedes gives the official go on the 2019 for that particular model it will sit in port. Dealers can't even receive the car until Mercedes gives the go and releases the next model year.

Yes 190k sticker as I am talking about the S63 he ordered back in April NOT a c63s.. With how well you caught the space in "bubble wrap" missing how could you not read the rest? I am in the c63/s section because I ordered a c63s coupe with a 98k sticker ~ 6 weeks ago. Just sharing the experience because it holds true for all new model year releases from Mercedes.
The point of the story is just because the car may be built that doesn't mean it goes straight to you if they haven't released the model year. It will sit like my fathers has since mid August waiting for Mercedes to officially release the next model year which in this case is 2019.

2018 S450, 2019 Range Rover LWB, 2015 Range Rover, 2019 S560 Cabriolet (awaiting delivery)
Pretty clear, he said his dad ordered an S63... $190k sounds pretty close to accurate to me... But as your signature says, "Nothing is so firmly believed as that which least is known."

Thanks for the intel!! It is widespread across every model Mercedes sells. When that cla was introduced to the public with their super bowl commercial you couldn't even take delivery until the next super bowl..lol... Mercedes hypes and hypes and hypes then releases.
