There is no right answer to this. Depends on the dealer. Usually the dealer will not flag warranty unless they have a reason to do so. I have not had any problems with all the Dinan tunes I have ever sold including BMW.

Given that, Dinan's tune is fairly conservative.. they basically wringed out the extremes with the stock drivetrain, and then dialed it back a few notches to make it reliable warranty-wise. Tested against multiple conditions as well. I've had the tune for well over 1.5 years now, and the last 12 months have mostly been running it in the 'stage 2' more aggressive tune that ISN'T warrantied, but have had 0 issues. Hell, my wife daily drives it.

Dinan stands by their tune. If your dealer determines accurately the tune/box was the cause of damage to your vehicle, then Dinan will foot the repair costs, in parallel with your vehicle warranty. This is pretty much spelled out on Dinan's site.
