Does anyone of you ever tried to remove the front grill "AMG" badge (pic attached)? Would be great if you can kindly provide some insights on how to remove them. Do you have to remove your front bumper to remove it? What tools do you need?
I removed and exchanged mine without removing the bumper, but I had some pretty specialized tools (cheap, but unlikely you have the same ones).
It's held in by 2 small torx screws... You'll just need a short enough driver to fit into that space (like the ones found on eyeglass repair kits).
Is it possible to kindly share the links of the tools that you used? Also, do you just need to work on it from the outside (just pull it out??), or you will need to reach from the inside with hood open?
Unfortunately I don't have a link to it as I've had these tools for over 10 years haha... I just found something that worked. Look for a torx screwdriver set made for glasses or cell phones.
You pop the hood and do all the work from behind the grill... There is enough room to squeeze your arm and hand behind the badge. Once you undo both screws, the emblem just falls off. Just make sure you don't drop the screws from behind, otherwise you might actually have to remove the front bumper haha.
