noise from steering with summer tires?
I have creaking noise from steering. SA showed me TSB for many models with summer tires.
Supposedly the combination of cooler temperatures & summer tires will cause creaking sound.
I did not have this issue last year. He says gets worse with less tire tread.
Have you ever heard tires make creaking sound? Maybe tires cause noise from other components?
He said all components are in good shape, however the coilovers may enhance the noise.

Depends on what you mean by creaking and when it happens. If you're looking at the situation where you are trying to turn with near full lock usually when you're driving off from a stop usually after a cold start in colder weather and the tyres start whining or skipping then this is physics at play. the wheel arcs of your front wheels are moving at different angles and at some stage one tyre (usually the other tyre has to skid or hop to get back in line . hopping happens more with summer performance tyres as the rubber is harder and wont gently slide but warmer softer rubber might squeak and very gently slide .
the problem is more extreme on AWD vehicles than rwd vehicles .
if there is some other creaking etc going on then it could be something else.
