Here's the Real Reason Why I've got the M4 over the C63.
After owning both the M4 Standard and the M4 in its facelift (LCI) with Competition package, Maybe it is time to consider the new C63S Coupe with the facelift, I have seen the car and I think it looks amazing with the new aero package and new grill along with upgraded interior, to be honest with you I was never a fan of the interior and infotainment system, but god the new steering wheel with the conf. buttons is amazing, also the bigger middle screen.
One question till when the current C63 AMG will be in production and when we can expect the new model?

You're were saying it's not going to be in the c63 like it was a fact. There isn't a reason for them not to keep the V8 for the next generation. I think the major item to worry about is RWD vs AWD for the next generation.

They already slightly nerfed the sound in the 2019 with the new grill. It still sounds nice, but not as loud as the 2017-2018 coupes. I see what direction they are going, i wouldn't be surprised if they did get rid of the v8 in the c63. Maybe our cars will go up in value when they release this hybrid mess? lol That's EU regulations for you

I'm certain the next gen will be something special in its own way - but this final iteration of the C Class C63 is the one the acquire and keep !
At this point for post 2020 new models (bar SUV's) it looks like the V8 will only be retained for E, GT & S Classes.

There are numerous publications where Tobias Moers has stated that the next gen C63 will not be relying on the number of cylinders it has to achieve its desired performance goals, that obviously eludes to cylinder number downsizing which makes total sense as the next gen beyond that point will most probably be full electric with the absence of ICE all together.

While there’s no explicit, official statement they’ll go that way in the next gen 63, the writings on the wall and Tobias confirmed it: it WILL be a hybrid. With that they don’t need to keep 8 cyl. Could they? Sure. But why would they? I’m guessing they’ll want to keep the model in the general price and performance range. A modest boost in power (and obviously torque) to keep us interested and an equally modest boost in price also to keep us interested. A hybrid 8-cyl would be too much of both. They could easily hit both with a 6cyl.
Then there’s the emissions standards especially in Europe. They’re already talking about a Euro 7 standard by the mid 2020s that’ll all but kill the diesel and will choke the gasoline engine more too. Hybrid alone won’t be enough. Most manufacturers are going smaller engines to meet the regs. MB will have to follow suit and already are.
I think they’ll stick with a V config to help preserve some of the voice of the car and their engineers will keep as much of its characteristic growl and crackle-pop they can, but I’d expect it will be a little raspier and more baritone than bass. But that’ll probably be about the only downside, except for those of you that aren’t thrilled with AWD. I’ve no doubt its performance will impress.
I'm with the majority here. The W205 will be the end of the V8 in the c63.

May be the minority here but I disagree. I think what we’ll see with the W206 are more AMG model variations with different engine configurations. The C63 could be the inline-6 with mild hybrid, while a new C73 could be a V8 with hybrid.
I wouldn’t rule out a V8 for the next gen C-class just yet. It may just not be called 63.

Tobias never stated anywhere that they are dropping the V8 in the c63 and it's a possibility due to European stringent regulations, but I believe in their engineers will make the V8 work for one more generation. They only confirmed that it's going to be a hybrid and it's speculation at this point. Also, that article made an assumption that the solution will be a 6 cylinder+hybrid combination, but again, that isn't fact.

Agree on that one, BMW have done a great job of making the current M3/M4 S55 sound good from within the cabin, but from the outside seriously what a fart can terrible note it spits out even worse still with modded exhaust systems it even makes any diesel powered car sound good , you really have to love that car to be able to live with the sound it puts out
I disabled that active sound what what and I could only hear wind noise with a hint of the exhaust.
And you're right, upgrade the exhaust and it sounds even worse.
We went on a night run recently with a few AMG buddies that all have W204 C63s and it was just embarrassing for me

I own one now.... and thankfully it doesn't sound as bad from inside
