Is a square winter setup possible for C63S sedan?

I've searched around and not been able to find any answers to this question: can you run a square setup on a C63S?

As many of you know, nobody seems to sell winter wheel/tire packages for the C63 anyway so I've been trying to see if I could cobble something together myself. I have my eye on these Replika R207s. They are 19 x 8.5 ET40, so pretty close to the stock 19 x 8.5 ET38s in the front. And while they're an inch narrower than the stock 9.5 rears, the 40 offset more or less compensates from the stock 56 so it would still fit flush.

The thing I'm wondering is if it's possible to run a square setup with these, 19 x 8.5s all around with, say, 245/40 tires. Narrower tires tend to be better for snow use anyway and a square setup allows for rotation.

I think it should be fine. It is very common to run square winter setups in BMW M community.

Yes, no problem with that.

I run 255/35/19 square on my oe wheels because I had them from my E63, but I also like the extra tire for comfort.

Gotcha. So you run 255/35 all around on OE wheels, meaning 19 x 8.5 ET38 front and 19 x 9.5 ET56 rear?

The reason I'm a little squeamish is worrying about stability control and other systems getting annoyed by a different setup. While the stock wheels are 19" all around, the rears have a bit more sidewall (265/35 vs. 245/35 front) so I was wondering if the nannies got confused by a setup where the rear wheels don't have a slightly larger overall diameter.

You're totally overthinking things. You'll be fine.

The rolling diameter difference between 265/35 and 245/35 is only 1.9%. It should be fine.

I picked up a set of OEM C63 sedan 19” 5 star split spokes off a forum member a couple weeks ago. Just put them on today with stock sized Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ replacing my Edition 1 forged mutispokes wrapped in Pilot Super Sports. To early for any review or impressions but the ride is noticeably much smoother. Not planning to drive in the snow but my super sports were loosing traction as the weather is getting colder. Not so much worried about going as I am about stopping. Before and after pics.
