Btw are you having any issues with the AMG logo?. Is kind of weird because in my screen is not always displayed when I start the car...
I still have mine set to the MB logo - sometimes it shows up, other times it just goes straight to CarPlay, so I think mine is the same as yours. Do you want it to display the AMG logo for an extended period? I prefer it to just boot up as quickly as possible.

Sounds is the same as mine. I would like the logo to display the same as the stock system, as I recall it was everytime you started the car right?

Thanks
Yup, I think that's right. This is definitely not consistent in its startup behavior. Sometimes I get an animation with the MB logo, other times it's straight to CarPlay. Not a dealbreaker for me though.

Not for me either. As you said Waze works perfect and I keep using the stock system most of the time so as long as it all works as of today I am ok
I think the screen must have some sort of voltage monitoring system to decide when it fully switches off... it might explain the somewhat sporadic behaviour?

Not sure because it shut off but the audio was still working. The battery of my car wasn´t fully charged and when we reseted it screen went on immediately
Ok. Si maybe you guys could figure it out what is happening
Screen works ok during the whole day. When I start the car in the morning after 8-9 hours the screen goes black and I only get the audio, no image. Then we restart the car battery and system will work fine again.
How/where did you guys route the GPS/Wifi antennae? I'm sure you didn't just leave them hanging out on the dashboard. Are they necessary for good reception?
Look what just came in the mail guys! I'll be installing it first thing tomorrow morning. Hoping the installation goes smoothly. I did see that the actual screen unit has a USB connector that's hardwired into the back. It's a female USB-A connector. Do you guys know what that connects to?
Also ShakyTom, the instructions show the GPS antenna being routed through the glovebox area and out the side towards the passenger door.... is that how you did it? Could you provide some detail on how that works, if so? I got this mainly for Google Maps, so I definitely want to get the GPS stuff right. Thanks!
That USB port is just for connecting peripherals and for updating the device.
I did not route the GPS antenna through the dashboard, sounds like a nightmare. Just stick it inside the area under the speaker grille on the dashboard
Awesome, thanks a bunch. If you haven't already, give the Android Auto app a try on your screen. You get quick access to Spotify, Google Maps, notifications, the Phone dialer, etc:
Everything worked for me out of the box (got lucky I suppose). Only issue I have is that audio quality is very poor via USB. For now I'm sticking with playing audio through Bluetooth and the stock media system.
