2019 larger screen
Hi all
Do you think will be possible to change the screen? Understand there are many different connections so difficult to do it
Thanks!

If you are talking about fitting the facelift wider screen to a pre-facelift, I can't see that ever being possible. Different resolutions, aspect ratios and software design.
The best option for a larger screen, but retaining OEM look and functionality would be an aftermarket android screen. You obviously also get the benefits of things like Google maps, waze, carplay, android auto etc
Something like this would be my pick, looks much better than the super wide ones most people seem to fit.

I think Tobias Moers said in one interview that in AMG the screen needs to be positioned lower, so that the driver can see right front corner. In case one install bigger screen, this will prevent visibility.

Have had it half installed but I wouldn't recommend it just yet as my unit has terrible light bleed.; it could just be my unit or it could be a widespread thing. They are currently working with me to try and get that resolved and I will be sure to post my full thoughts once that is sorted (after all, customer service is everything).
Other than the light bleed everything has been positive so far. It's snappy, responsive and integrates very nicely with the OEM functions such as 360 camera and radio.
Its narrower bezels (especially on the sides) and slightly wider aspect ratio make it look much more modern.
Stock comand screen
Unit dimensions: 9 3/4" x 5 1/2"
Screen dimensions: 7 1/3" x 4"
Android screen
Unit dimensions: 9 3/4" x 5 1/5"
Screen dimensions: 8 1/3" x 4 1/5"

This is the light bleed on my unit (the bright white lighting at the edges - this is a completely black image). It's only really visible on dark backgrounds, but that includes the stock system and using night mode of google maps or waze, so it kinda sucks.

Oh and if your car doesn't have aux, it's probably a good idea to add an aux port so that you don't get an audio delay using bluetooth.
Search "w205 aux module" on eBay.

No updates as of yet, a replacement is on the way but as everything is from China, it all takes time.
They assure me the replacement will not have the same issue and I will be sure to update this post with my findings.

Started getting dark so these are the best pictures I have for now.
New screen has a small amount of light bleed in the bottom left corner, but it is WAY better than the old one and perfectly liveable.
