Thumbs up Hood Removal?

Ordered a new CF hood and was thinking of trying to install it myself.

Anyone have any insight on removing the hood? YouTube and a forum search has not yielded much.

Thanks in advance!

I replaced my mustang hood with an aftermarket cowl hood and it was literally 4 bolts holding it to the hinges (2 on each side) and it was off. You do have to adjust the new one you install left/right/forward/back on the hinges to get the gaps between the fenders even. I haven’t looked at the Benz but it sould be the same for most every car. Oh and you’re obviously going to want a friend to help hold one side.

removing is easy.

Putting back on and ensuring great body lines and gaps is what is difficult and takes 2 peeps IMHO to get it right.

Speaking of hood removal

On the main hood hinges are two spring levers that look like they let the hood pivot (Coupe, cannot speak for sedan). Maybe I missed it in the manual but i squeeze both and still cannot get the hood to move. Anyone know what they are for? Thanks
