Predicament! Help me decide c63 owners!

I have 2 c63s I’m trying to decide between. Both similarily priced and have the same mileage:

C63 non-S - disctronic and interior carbon fibre package with no intelligent LED headlight package.

C63s - base C63S with intelligent LED headlight package only.

Im trying to weigh my options as a daily driver. Disctronic in a large city would be nice. The C63 non-S would be cheaper in maintenance too (brake rotor and pad replacement). How much cheaper? I have no clue but I have a MBWorld post stating $1000 per rotor on an S compared to 160 each on a non-S

As a daily driver the c63s seems overkill but at the same time the non-intelligent LED headlamps (only 1 crystal thing instead of 2 crystal things per headlamp) looks so bad on the non-S. BUT I don’t need the extra S stuff if it’s going to cost me more money to maintain (floating rotors and e-diff - heard some people are having trouble with that) because I don’t need this extra stuff in the first place (daily driving and spirited driving at most).

What do do you guys think?

Let me help this situation I own the non S, don’t even bother mentioning the difference unless your a professional driver and take your car to track events. I drove an S model for 3 weeks before I ordered my Non S version. The specs on HP TQ not to mention the stupid dynamic engine mounts and electronic differential talk you read is to help push the sales of the S. No real world difference, save your money. The active LEDs are a must in my eyes and distronic is incredible while city driving those two get my vote.

It seems like we’re in agreement. I don’t see any use in the S model for my type of driving but I see the intelligent LED headlight as a must. The issue is only the S has the Intelligent LED lights with no disctronic. The non-S has disctronic but no intelli-LED lamps. Dilemma!

I've driven both s and non s... I definitely think the e-diff makes a difference but only if you're pushing it. For daily driving you won't see a big difference.

You are better off to get a car with the specs you want. I just made that mistake on a 2018 GLA 45 and had to get rid of it for that very reason. Don't compromise on options. If there's not a car now - then wait. There will always be another car. You might even consider finding one with head up display as well. Makes city driving nice - as it outputs the speed limit, which is a really nice feature. Must haves are Distronic, surround view camera, head up display and intelligent LED in my book. Sure carbon would be nice but not a deal breaker. For your purpose a non S would def. suffice.

+1. For this kind of money, don’t settle on ANYTHING. Wait for the one configured how you want it .. it’ll be worth it. I’d say the non-s is probably the more practical choice, but since I share the same basic driving need and STILL ordered the S, I cant give you honest advice there.

So the active headlamps actually look different from the non active? I assumed they just operated differently. Are there pictures of the two side by side?

These are the dual LEDs

I hope I attached the images properly. I’ve labelled the pictures between the dual and partial LEDs. I guess the difference is more pronounced irl

Hop on auto trader, enter your color preferences and see what’s out there. Like others have said, don’t settle and find exactly what you want...you’ve already waited this long haha. I would also recommend getting the performance seats as they were a must have for me and I’m happy with them everytime I drive the car.

Buy whatever you and your wallet are most comfortable with. I don't think any of those features make it worth extending yourself. If this means waiting, then so be it.
