Selenite Grey Metallic with matte wrap?
#27
When I was allocating, I wanted graphite Magno but all the magno colors were unavailable for some reason so I went with selenite metallic. Now I want it wrapped matte but its expensive.

Graphite magno has to be seen in real life to be really appreciated.
Simply Exquisite. The satin finish unlike matte looks so luxurious against The gloss black trims.
its shame you couldn’t wait.

In any case, if you do want a magno finish, my suggestion to anyone (after having gone through this process myself) is to place your order prior to the end of the year (for the ensuing MY). If you order after, say Q1 in the new year, then there is a good chance they will "run out of stock" again on the Magno's.

For those that had this done...did you have them perform a paint correction first? The reason I ask: I had the front of my Macan wrapped. If I look real hard, I can see water spots and such under the wrap. This is especially true when I'm washing it. They either got lazy or I should have asked for them to prep the surface better than they did.
Another question: how well is the wrap around all the decals, emblems and such? Fit and finish....?

Nice guys. I have factory designo selenite grey magno on my Edition 1... tbh better to get a matte wrap than be in my position where you can't buff out scratches or fix any other type of damage without getting a whole new section repainted. LOL. If I purchased my car brand new I prob would have got expel or something but I got it pre-owned a few years back with some scratches so I'm afraid I'm too late for protection. It's funny though, people come up to me and ask me if I got the matte done myself, and they are shocked when I say it's from the factory! I guess I have a one-up on you guys in that regard but screwed in the other in terms of scratches and rock chips...
I plan to keep my Edition 1 as a collectors car, so in the distant future, I'll probably get a fresh repaint and then get some crazy protection for it... wonder what types of protection products will be around in 10-20 years?

I don’t either. Glossy paint all the way and my 2017 C63 Cabriolet is Selenite Grey Metallic. It’s a beautiful color.

I had to wait for a new allotment to become available for the designo Selenite Grey Magno paint on my GLC 63 S. I just ordered it when the new cars were available for the beginning of the quarter on March 15, and had full PPF quoted for around 5500 for the full car. Super excited!

How is everyone’s xpel stealth holding up? Still loving it? Would love to keep seeing pics! I just put down a deposit for xpel stealth on my selenite gray AMG GTS and it will go to the shop in 2 weeks!

I don’t know if it has the same look in low light. But to me it has a nice almost greenish hue in the right sunset
this is xpel stealth btw

cant wait to see how the whole car turns out. While the installer was showing how it looks like I’m different lighting, when he blocked out the light it had a nice depth. Looked really mean

suntek matte vs xpel stealth... any noticeable or known differences between the two in terms of how satin or dull each one tends to be?
see both examples here in this thread, but can't quite make out differences via photos.
it may be due to different lighting conditions, but the suntek appears more non-reflective matte whilst the xpel is slightly more reflective pearl satin.
