Quick sharp squeak noise on startups
I get a squeak noise on startup on my C63S
2019 W205 problem is is intermittent.
Leaning towards exhaust valve
If it is exhaust valve what is the fix???

my 43 has a squeek from performance exhaust valves as well. i am sure if you sourced the squeek some wd40 would do the trick. but it doesnt bother me enough to get under the car yet.

I've had the issue for the past 2 years now. Every time I take it into the dealer they say they can't replicate it. There's a squeak that appears intermittently when I start the car in sport+. I also get it at low speeds (not just 1 squeak) when speeding up and slowing down in 1st and 2nd gear at around 2.5k-3k revs and is a lot more obvious in sport+ and switching gears manually, I’m able to replicate when slowly accelerating and slowing down. It also happens sometimes when moving from drive to neutral. It seems to be getting louder and louder, car is going in for I think the 5th time soon for them to “investigate”. Car has just come out of warranty (I have extended it but it’s going to be interesting to see if they can find it/it will be covered). Just wondering if anyone has had anything similar and could provide any feedback as to what it was/how it was resolved. If I’m honest it has definitely soured the experience and I'm getting frustrated that the issue just isn't being resolved, the car sounds like an old banger that has been neglected.

@superswiss might have come to the rescue with this. I posted on the AMG lounge and he was kind enough to highlight an article that not only describes the issue, it has a recommended fix!

Thanks for the TIPS posting. I would guess these are all exhaust-valve issues. Our C43 flaps give a glorious squeak at most cold starts or when I press the loud-button prior to starting. Never really bothered me but now that I know a possible fix, I'll try it next time the C43 is up on my hoist.
