I have a 2019 c63s coupe that I just finished break in. Since coming across the threads on this topic I've been constantly trying to get some crackles/pops to come out of my exhaust.

I'm able to consistently get pops when I put it in manual, take it up to about 4500 rpm and let the throttle go. However, this is the only time I get them. Does that sound about right? Is there any other time I should expect them?

I understand there is software in the 2019s which is quieting down the exhaust. Forgive me, because I'm new to all this, but is there something I can do to tweak that software and get the sound output the car is truly capable of?

Thanks!

Could that be the sound tubes on the intake? Not artificial noise pipes through the speakers?

They didn't until 2019, is my understanding.

That is not true. AMGs do have it. If you scan the car using STAR, an engine sound module will show up. They actually have tests for the checking the sound module while the car is completely turned off. I have seen a MB tech perform it infront of me. They usually try to keep it a bit hush hush.

Sorry. I can’t accept this as fact either but I will research this out of respect.

Someone needs to disconnect a speaker wire and connect it to the mic/line input (or would that be too many volts) of an audio recorder. We need to get to the bottom of this.

Seems like that'd be the easiest way to figure it out. Even just hook up a volt meter and turn off the stereo, then drive and see if it changes any.

I wish that were the case! Unfortunately you are incorrect. I have a 2019 C63S coupe and I get absolutely 0 pops or crackles from the engine and exhaust. I am very disappointed and have reached out to AMG multiple times with no Resolution
