Steering wheel issue
Hi
when I turn my steering wheel. I feel there’s a clunking sound . Can’t really hear it.
Took the car to dealership and they said it’s due to the wide-tire
But that’s the different feeling of clunking sound or clicking sound.

Clunk on my 19s sedan. I can sit parked and shake the steering wheel side to side and hear. I also hear it when going over a speed bump at an angle.
Do any of you also hear a noise when accelerating from a stop? Kinda sounds like a quieter clunk sound

Took it in. They couldn't figure out what it was. Changed suspension to performance plus but the clunking sound continued. Basically at low speeds going over uneven pavement causing the car to bounce makes the clunks sounds from th front of the car. Feels like its in the steering when the car bounces.

Did some digging around the forum and stumbled upon this post.

"knuckle on the shaft" -Is that the steering rack shaft knuckle??
It sounds exactly like the issue some of us are describing. Going to take the car back to the dealer next week and have them look around the steering rack..

Anyone got a resolution to this? or is it normal? i dont think the dealer would be able to fix it.
Ive got a new rack installed because of a different issue. Was there before. still there now. lol

Does the problem always happen in cold temperatures? If so, then I think this is the 'Ackerman effect' :
