BlackVue Parking Mode
I ended up with the DR-900S-1CH for the front because I have a convertible. In short, I didn't drive my car enough to charge the Blackvue battery so it kept discharging and did not provide enough recording time when parked. After a few weeks, it died completely and it was a pain having to go and get it uninstalled and shipped back. In the end, I left it off and am glad to not use it as it was more of a hassle then it was worth. I don't have parked recording but having it for driving is at least better than nothing. I also put a 500GB drive on there so I have tons of storage.
Also, sorry, but why does your car get hit so often lol?
This site has changed and went downhill in my opinion, its primarly all just post from sponsors selling there stuff over and over again, and people asking questions they just are too lazy to do a deeper search on.
(not saying everyone, just IMO again)
So I def am not as active nor as motivated like back in your day of need to even respond to some people anymore. :-(
Stay SAFE and healthy my Friend and keep enjoying the ride..

on items 1 -2 , you need to set the " collision " event detection to LOCK the file, this way it will NOT overwrite any files that are created from an event ( you can set the events to be "impact, motion detection, etc "
Make sure you have your motion detection area setup, otherwise it will prob just keep recording non stop.
Do you have the LTE antenna as well ?
With respect to item #3 , this all depends on what type of monitoring you are looking for.. I have mine set to record on motion, or impact (in parking mode) and it records 2 min at a time. (on 4K)
When a impact is detected, it buffers 30 seconds prior and records and "locks" that file so it cannot be overwritten.
How did you get the 500GB hard drive connected to the camera?

i think OP is running single camera if i remember correctly and that is a bit forgiving.
the main is with large sized cards is the write speeds and the heat.
