Finally pulled the trigger on a 2018 C63 S Coupe with 2600mi today after hunting around for a couple of months. I had Carmax ship it from Oregon to SoCal. Turns out I got a lot more than I payed for. I thought it was an Iridium silver, loaded (except for ceramic breaks) 63 S but when I went down to see the car it was the Polar Silver Designo matte finish. The car is pristine and drives beautifully. I had already made an appointment to get it wrapped in a satin grey metallic that it very close to the Designo grey, get a chrome delete, powder coat the wheels satin black. Now that I see it and it has the matte paint I think I'm just going to clear bra the leading edges and ceramic tint at 35% then call it good.
I was so distracted by the paint surprise that I didn't even notice that it had ceramic brakes until I got home!! I was ambivalent about ceramics and decided not to get them but now that it is in my garage I ain't bringing this puppy back!!
So all said and done the car cost $71,900, it was $595 to have the car shippedhe warranty was 2500 for 5 years and 100,000 miles, and the loan was 3.9% for 60 months. It was surprisingly easy to deal with Carmax, they even sent a LYFT driver to pick me up for free. Right now on Autotrader there is a local Mercedes dealer with almost the same car in non-desgno white, for over 92K.
I'm a little intimidated by caring for the paint and I little worried about having ceramic brakes but I'll get over it.
I've been lurking on this forum for a while and it was very helpful in my search so thank you to all that post. Mods to come later but I see a tune in my future.
Congrats on the come up brotha! Carbon ceramics and matte paint are nice options for sure. Black out the chrome trim then tint and lowering springs will have you sitting fresh and clean
