Don`t forget tune + UPD cold air intake and downpipes for easy bolt ons. As the addiction for power grows, then turbos etc.

He's already got tune...

I'm on the fence about the UPD CAI...I definitely need an intake upgrade but not happy with the current options... they are either inefficient, hot-air-intakes, or waaaaay too expensive *SMH* The UPD CAI + high-flow filters might be the best option...

If you're already on a tune with stock equipment many of the suggestions here are correct. Downpipes, cooling upgrades, and turbos would be your next steps. The only upgrade i see as "not worth while" would be an intake. Intakes give minimal gains and nothing you'd feel compared to your setup now. You'd be better off sticking with the stock air box and putting hi-flow drop in filters. Unless you are going for tenths of second in a 1/4 mile time, then an intake may be beneficial.

I live in Dallas, but my brother lives in Houston and I would consider driving to Houston to get the DP's installed? What am I gonna FEEL with the addition of a good set of DP's? Is it VERY Noticeable in terms of Power? I understand it isn't 100 Shot of Nitrous, but will I LOSE any Low End? I have a Stage 2 Tune, so I think that works with DP's? Is the sound BETTER, or is it the same as I have now, with more volume? Also, I wanted HF CATS, but don't C63's have 2 sets of Cats? So IF I got Catless DP's, wouldn't I still have 1 Stock Cat left or am I not thinking right? For the record, I have an 01 C5 highly modified Vette with No Cats, and it's Tuned so it passes every year. However, the extra HP/TQ I gained (which is minimal) isn't worth the smell and especially on this car. So I want some form of Cats whether its HFC DP's, or keeping 1 of the stock cats, if that is even an option?

So DP’s WILL give me a Noticeable Gain? As long as I have the proper TUNE, I won’t lose any Low End Power, Right? Will I pick up Low End Power?

i wouldn't mind more sound from the Track but currently my set up has a nice aggressive deep tone. A few Videos (which I know aren’t always a good representation) sometimes make the car sound raspy, however everyone that has FP’s talks about the sound. So I’m sure it sound good in person.

I hope its mot TOO Loud? I have to be carful about turning this into a race car. I don’t want that. I just want extra performance.

-Will DP’s Void my Warranty?

-Money-Wise, are DP’s worth it? $1,200 + $1,000 install if they drop tranny, which Makes me a little nervous.

After install and I take the car out for the 1st Test Drive WHAT am I going to Notice? I’d LOVE someone to explain what DO’s feel like?

Air Intakes I agree. There isn’t a great one out there that really performs well. Waste of money and effort.

You're not going to LOSE power anywhere in the rpm range with DP's. Gain is decent (like 30rwhp) but not mind blowing, but you'll need dp's if you're going to move forward with things like turbo upgrade.

The sound IS a little raspy but in person definitely not as bad as in videos (can check out my IG link on the left). Rasp is mostly in upper RPM range where most people are too startled by the pure volume to notice the rasp 😂 I'm happy with the sound...

DP's will TECHNICALLY void engine and powertrain warranty, generally speaking. Particularly damage to the turbos would probably be blamed on DP install.

For me, I just wanted more noise and these things do not disappoint. Sound is really intoxicating and it probably scares some people when I overtake on the freeway. And I plan on upgraded turbos as my next step so I'll need these.

If you want something less conspicuous, maybe just add meth and tune? You don't necessarily need cattless DP's to run meth... But to me, meth is just too much work / maintenance with all the refilling and potential complications.

It's a forced induction car, freeing up exhaust restrictions after the turbos will always add power/tq.

You will lose a bit of torque down low when adding dp’s since you are removing the exhaust restriction, but you will gain power up top for the same reason. You will also make the same/more power with less boost by making the engine (air pump) more efficient, which gives your tuner the option to turn the boost back up for even more power. Both sets of cats are on the downpipes, but shardul has a set with one hi-flow cat on each downpipe which is what i would suggest as your car will be stupid loud without any cats or mufflers.

This weekend I may be adding stage 2 then I’ll stomp ya! Let’s do it. It would be fun.

And I want a ride to see what your mods feel like.

Just wrote reply and got deleted. I think listening to YOUR DP in person will let me know if I want them.

I also will have the SwitchPath where I can Close Valves and go through Mufflers so if I needed it quieter, I could close the valves.

I am putting Stage 2 on this weekend.

Thanks everyone.
