Custom Exhaust
Hello does anyone have a custom exhaust setup on their w205s? Shouldnt a decent exhaust shop be able to replicate a setup like the AWE Track Exhaust since it is basically just a straight pipe?

This is the first time I’ve heard the exhaust and heard about the set up. It got me very curious although I can’t find anything online about it. I’d want to know how it works before cutting it up haha. He said he paid $200 to do it at a shop.
The sound was much more violent and sharp. It was like the 2nd cat delete on steroids! Start up and revs were loud! Idle was perfect.
I only have the 2nd cats removed on my C63s w/performance exhaust just for reference.

I heard a custom exhaust on a AMG GTS a few days ago and it sounded incredible. I asked the owner what he’s done and he told me he took off the 2nd cats and took out the performance muffler, removed the internal bits, then reinstalled the muffler. He also said he stashed the internals to go back to stock if he wanted.

From what I understood, he basically just re installed a hollow muffler?
I currently have secondary cat delete, asr module and no H valve on my car with the performance exhaust but wouldnt mind going a little louder

That is interesting. I wonder if the valves were still functional with that setup to quiet the car down when needed?

My 2018 won’t let me do the ASR module

Got my hands on this 3" mid pipe some time back but time to replace the mufflers with straight pipes Track exhaust style. Very eager to see how the car sounds combined with a sec cat delete once all is done!

Took a short clip, enjoy.
Setup: sec cat delete, AWE H pipe and muffler delete. IMO the video doesnt do it that much justice but in person the car is much more throatier now. I love it!

I did a Corsa set up on my old CLS55 - it riiiiiiipppped! Never thought to do anything with my current C63, its a lease so I don't want to get too wild with it - im sure there's a video on youtube of my CLS55, was a phenomenal sound.

I've read of owners of M3's doing this where they cut off the top of the rear mufflers and remove the guts. Then carefully weld it back together. Respray it and it looks stock to the naked eye during inspections.
