Optimal PSI for New Tires
Getting new PS4s on my car tomorrow and ive heard conflicting answers as to what PSI they should be at. Anyone have any suggestions?

I don't have answers, but great to hear that you're running wider tires now. I think the same tire pressure recommendation on your fuel filler cap still applies right even with wider tires?
I am also considering running wider tires however with stock suspension without any lowering.
Could you share more details about your setup? Sedan/Coupe ? Stock wheels or aftermarket wheels? If aftermarket, what offsets you went with? Any lowering you did?

When the dealership installed mine, they set the pressures to 36 psi all around. More recently I had a tire puncture repaired and it looks like they set at 40 psi. Both it seems work fine. I have pushed them up over 40 psi and the car ride is too harsh. I may drop mine to 38 psi and leave it there.

Depends on what you’re doing with the car, but fronts can be aired up on the higher side (35psi+ cold) for less rolling resistance and I usually run the rears a little lower to help hookup (26-28psi cold). My car has 285/30/20 (Toyo r888r) on the rear and hooks first gear wot once they’re warm with that pressure.

Crunching the numbers quickly, if you want to keep the contact path similarly shaped (depth is the same as stock size) as they are at the stock 38/33 psi, you should run a 265/295 setup at 35/30 psi.
In reality it's way more complex than this, but it's at least a good starting point.
