Annoying buzzing sound from dash

My 2019 cab has now delivered a new noise. Under acceleration in a higher gear (generally in comfort mode) I get an annoying vibration, like a buzzing sound. Sounds like it’s right in front of me (right hand drive) but can’t pinpoint it.

Anyone else experienced similar?

Not sure. I managed to locate the one on the passenger side dashboard top. If I press down on the air vent adjacent to the windscreen it stops. Not sure what the permanent solution to that one is. This one is more of a buzzing than a rattling. Be nice to find the cause. Just when I accelerate.

C63s, the good sounding one
I have also experienced this. It is very intermittent. I am anxious to see if anyone post a solution for it.

Sounds like it's time to rotate that dial on the steering wheel a notch.

My glove box was rattling for a while and i though it was the dashboard. I applied a small piece of foam inside the glove box right where the glove box meets the dashboard and the noise seems to have been fixed. Will say that the the plastic cowling around the dials also buzz from time to time.

I get this too when accelerating. You're probably long gone now...... but any chance you solved this sh*t noise?

Hi, sorry, the only way I solved it was to get rid of the car which was a massive disappointment. Just too many issues. Took the fun out of owning it.

Haha I've got the same thing in my coupe. Yes the sound is a BUZZING noise which I am sure it's coming from one of these areas.

I hear it with all windows up and no radio on

Accelerate gently or driving over long rough surfaces and it makes the sound "GRRIIIIIII GRRIII" sounds sort of plastic buzzing

Exact same areas for me aswell. Usually goes away for a while if I push around those areas.

I'm determined to fix it. Might try record a video of it tomorrow and post it so we know exactly if it's the same sound.

Definitely a buzzing noise which happens if you accelerate gently. Even more apparent when performance exhaust is in ON (red button lit) and all windows are up.

Where abouts do you press for it to stop?

I just push on the speaker and surrounding areas, for the aircon I just grab the vent itself and squeeze/push. Pretty much just push and squeeze those areas.
Honestly mines not that bad though, only notice at highway speeds sometimes and that's if I listen for it without music on. Sometimes it's there sometimes it's not.
Still annoying now that I know it's there.

Yep that's the same thing as mine. Can't even hear it when windows are down but when it's quiet and you want to kickback and relax it'll appear and get ya.

Solved

Issue fixed. It was the flimsy little chrome trim that goes around the gear selector stalk.

Jammed some felt into it with my fingernail and NO MORE BUZZING.

If you're getting this buzzing noise on light acceleration and windows are up, tap on the stalk when the car is parked and you'll hear it buzz.

Hope it helps someone.

Glad you found your source of the issue.
Another area for me to see if it's also part of the rattling/buzzing sound.

On another note, has anyone had any of their windows particularly driver side not closing automatically when you pull the button? Has happened twice but fixed itself after I restart the car on both occasions.

Yeah that's happened to me once or twice and I thought here we go the regulator is playing up. Never happened again.

Also my coupe driver's side window glass will rattle when driving if it's open just a tiny bit at a certain level. But roll it down further and the glass doesn't rattle.

So many niggly issues with these cars huh 🙄

yea agreed, every time i fix an issue a new rattle comes up somewhere. Its incredible how poorly built this generation of the c63s is, especially the sedan...my glovebox now creaks everytime i come to a stop or the engine start/stop turns off and turns on the engine...

So many little annoying things that shouldn't be there. Forgot to mention how the door panels creak and rattle when driving onto my driveway at an angle but I just say to myself it's cause of the stiff suspension

Sometimes it gets to the point where if I hear a random sound, might just be house keys in the cup holder I think f*** me another new rattle.

That happens to me too haha keys in the cup holder always gets me or something in the storage part of the door.

This car drives me insane man and the amount of repairing/maintaining I've had to do to this thing since new is ridiculous.

Try and see if it's your gear selection stalk that rattles. Tap it fast with your finger and see if it buzzes.

mate same with mine....... had to take my glove box apart and assemble it again to fix it

arm yourself with black felt tape just in case and use it if needed in the spots that rattle..... but u should be ok if removing whole glove box one weekend and assemble it again
