Rear disc hub rust - normal?

Hi- 2018 July c63. Cars covered 15k miles now but at 12k and just over 3 months ago I had all my discs and pads replaced under warranty as they had a slight vibration. Since replacement the brake dust on the rears has been crazy. Despite cleaning regularly the dust seems to be corroding my calipers/ staining the tyre brown/ it’s impossible to clean off the wheels, and also the discs themselves look a rights state.

Should rear discs look like this after 3 months? Will the dealer do anything if I complain?

when fitted 3 months ago...

Yes ...common . When I replaced my brakes I painted my rotors flat aluminum high heat paint and so far so good

My 18' sits outside 24/07 and does not have any rust (only brake dust which can be easily cleaned with a power washer). I don't drive it in snow or if dry/wet salt is still lingering.

I say not normal. These, like BMW's and many others have a coating that is to prevent that rust. 10k miles here and no rust

Mine is garaged and seen no snow. For context in uk, and the three months fitted are Autumn milder months, so a bit of rain and average temps, but certainly no extreme temps or conditions. My rear brake dust is also impossible to remove, and wheels have protective wax coating applied. No chance of removing with a jet wash! Fronts in comparison are fine.

I’d think so. Fronts are fine. Will a dealer entertain my complaint? Are your rear wheels covered in brake dust? My rears are literally ingrained in dust that’s impossible to remove!

Your signature suggests New Jersey. Ocean salts, road salts, sand. Perfect storm.

Wow that makes it even more unacceptable to have rust! You already can prove to them that the front has almost none so it makes no sense the rear is rust happy. If dealer doesn't want to entertain you, then the only thing would be as others suggested spray a rust protection layer.
