Your favorite vehicle...

It could be a car, bus, truck... Whatever. But over all your years, what was that one car, that one very special ride that you had, or have.

Mine was a 1970 Jaguar XKE coupe. Silver on buckskin. Four speed. Uniqueness: it had rack and pinion power steering! Once described as "...an engine pulling two seats and a gas tank".

Mine was a 2007 Muatang GT. That was my first car that I heavily modified. It was fully bolt on, longtube headers, full exhaust, cammed, FRPP intake manifold, built tranny, suspension and a 70mm turbo amongst other things. I blew 2 motors up and that's when I decided it was time to let it go lol.

Out of many, many, cars I owned over the past 20 years my overall favorite was my 2004 E46 M3. There was just something about it.
It was raw, looked muscular, sounded tough and had this.... aura about it. Gosh I miss it sometimes.

But my favorite car now (especially after the software update) is the C63s

Miss my 2009 SL63 AMG. It was in Designo Diamond White Metallic and it was gorgeous. It was just sexy looking and the sound of that NA 6.2 was incredible.

I also have been through many, many cars in 26 years of driving. I have to say the one I miss the most was my 1990 Volkswagen Corrado G60. At age 20, it was my first "enthusiast" car. Bought it used from a guy in PA after finding it on the Corrado Club of America forums; my mom drove me there from NH and dropped me off at the guy's house. He ended up offering me his couch to sleep on as we hit a lot of traffic on the way down and got to PA very late. The car was a basket case: the sunroof didn't work, the motorized seatbelts were broken, the rear spoiler didn't go up/down like it should. But slowly, learning as I went, I worked through the issues and brought it back to excellent condition. It was the first car I really worked on myself (besides simple stuff like oil changes and wiper blades). It was (and is) quite rare; VW only imported about 5k Corrados into the US over five years before pulling the plug on it. NO ONE knew what it was. I delivered pizza at the time, and got tons of questions on it. It was fairly "quick" for it's day, but not what anyone would call fast even then. But it gave a certain confidence on the road that my previous cars lacked. Eventually, I decided it was time for my first "new" car and I sold it. I still miss it. I was just browsing Craigslist and Ebay last night looking at Corrados. Unfortunately, the vast majority have been modified and mangled by (well-meaning but ill-informed) kids like I was when I owned one. I'm going to keep looking though.

Not my car, but the same year/color:

Gotta cast another vote for the E46. Mine was 2001 model, Laguna Seca Blue over gray leather, with a manual and a Billy Boat exhaust system that sounded AMAZING. To this day it's probably the most fun car I've ever driven, and I put that down to being the perfect combination/compromise of size, weight, power, feel, noise, rawness, and comfort. I don't think BMW will ever build a better all-around car than the E46.

Same here, I owned a '13 E92 M3 for 6 and a half years and loved that car, miss the 6MT + high revving V8 combo every now and then. I'm 1 year in to my ownership of my C63S AMG and I love the car as well, very different cars that are special in their own ways.

Plus 1,000 for the e9x m3s. The chasis, engine, steering, and gear box just work together in perfect harmony. I had two M3 coupes of that gen, and now own a 2012 e93 convertible. It's a part of my current fleet that includes the c63 and a Jaguar f-type. When I'm getting rid of two cars next year for an exotic, it's the m3 that I'll likely be keeping. It's the slowest and cheapest of the bunch, but may be the most enjoyable drive for me.

I have owned quite a "Bucket List" of cars over the many years...but I have to say my favorite is a tie between my current 2018 C63S Coupe and a 2015 911 C4S. Both badass cars for different reasons!

I think I am tied between E92 M3 and my C63s coupe for cars under $140k.

Still got my 996 turbo, owned it 7 years now. Just had an engine rebuild, bored, stroked 4.0 with bigger turbos, syvecs, GT2 kit etc.. should be pushing 1000hp when finally back on the road. Don't think I'll ever sell it, just a great drivers car.

My 2 favorite (liked both equally) were a 1967 Jaguar 420G midnight blue with blue leather interior with A/C which I purchased and became the 4th owner and owned it for about 6 years and then was sold. My 2nd was a 1971 280SL white with black MB tex interior with both tops and automatic with A/C. I was the 3rd owner and owned for about 7 years then it was sold. Neither one was my DD.

You know in an earlier post I identified my two favorites...but have to admit that I must add one more.

A 2009 Lexus ISF...this car had Sikky Headers, Joe Z full exhaust, Tom's intake and carbon fiber body kit & rear diffuser. Sounded badass and was a fun sleeper being a Lexus with 420+ horsepower

My 2005 WRX STi. I love my C63, but that STi was an insane car. In the summer I could take it to the track and destroy trailered race cars. Not even exaggerating, it was absurdly fast. In the winter I put some blizzaks on, raised the coilovers, and it would plow through a foot of snow better than most SUVs. The coolest part was it passed emissions in Colorado on the E85 track tune and looked like a pretty much stock car if you aren't super familiar with them. Still used the factory catback, the front mount was blacked out, and the ride height was only slightly lower than stock, but it was a 10 second car and pulled out of corners like a slingshot. Someday I hope to do another build like that.

I had a couple Mustang GT’s over the years. Did you do subframe connectors on yours? This is a mod that is well worth doing as it ties the front and rear subframes together and makes the chassis much stiffer. I had Koni adjustable shocks and struts on mine and lowering springs. Great combination for spirited driving. Man, that was a fun car. Both of mine were manual transmission cars.

Best car I’ve driven though was a 2005 Lotus Elise. Most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Yes I did along with some LCAs as those prevented wheel hop. Mine was a manual as well. I later got a 2015 5.0 with longtube headers, full 3 inch exhaust and it was procharged. Now that was fun to drive. Never lost a race.

I think it was somewhere around 2010, I started taking pics of my cars. I went through a few. The red Shelby was my favorite.

Funny, I owned a 2009 ML63AMG for a few months before I bought the BMW. Never took pics of it. THAT was a little beast. Previous owner did a resonator delete, a tune (~550HP), and Racing Brake brake/rotor upgrade. Wow. The C63S is the wife's. I drive the Macan.

That super snake though.... I remember I wanted to do the front gt500 swap on my GT. I've always been a big fan of Mustangs since I first got a 99 Cobra back in the day.

It wasn't a Super Snake. It was a 2009 GT500KR. Number 09KR0408. She was mine long enough to swap out the posi-lock rear diff for a T2R LSD.

King of the Road nice, I was looking at it through my phone didn't even notice. I fell in love with the roots style blowers when the 03 Cobras came out. That beautiful whine.....
