I reached out to my local MB dealership, looking to purchase an extended warranty for my 2017 c63s.

They informed me that since I am not the original owner of the vehicle (i purchased pre-owned) that they can not offer me the option to purchase an extended warranty?

Anyone else have any experience with this?

Yes, that is true. Not speaking from personal experience but a friend of mine was told the same thing. Gotta reach out to third party companies for extended warranty.

Not true at all. Just call one of the guys from the extended warranty thread and get a mb extended warranty. I bought used and was offered extended warranty through mb. 3 extra years was like $7500. You can probably find a little cheaper if you call around.

I ended up getting a 3rd party extended warranty on my VW Golf through Fidelity (not the finance company). The dealership honored it. One thing to be aware of, is deductibles.

Is fidelity pretty responsive on paying the claim? I have heard several stories on third party companies taking awhile to pay the dealer?

I'm not sure actually. I only ever dealt with the dealership directly. I paid my deductible to them and never heard a word about anything afterwards.
For what its worth, they were the ones who sold me the car and connected me with Fidelity.
