This reply is solely for cylinder head leak, because he sounds so ignorant. You keep on saying rebadged c450 like I had something to do with that... just ignorant.
Wow! Your used, preowned cls63 cost as much as a NEW loaded C63s? The one that’s $7+k more than a C63? My entry level C43 AMG was $5 shy of $70k! Wow, I guess I’m not the only one overpaying for stuff! Had that choice been mine I’d go for the brand spankin’ new C63s. Idk if you get it by now, but I like my stuff NEW. But hey, that’s ok... you do you booboo.
Is day trading not doing so well with the “good economy” we’re having, or do you just like your cars used and preowned? I guess for as long as it has a plaque with some stranger’s name on the engine you’re good with that. Do you also buy your clothes used and preowned? When you go to thrift stores to get used clothes, do you also leave your hood open so people may see who built your engine? If you have a “real” AMG, why didn’t Mercedes slap a badge that says “real” on it. If someone sells a badge that says “real” would you stick it on your trunk or on the fenders? Again, you do you booboo.
Don’t get me wrong, I like your cls... until the NEW one came out.![Frown](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
You can’t seem to get over AMG not letting you in the loop with their plans. Not all AMG cars have stranger’s names on the engine. If you can’t take it, maybe it’s time you see your proctologist. Unless you have a direct line to Tobias which I know you don’t from my previous interactions with you. SMH!

The new CLS doesn’t come in 63, why would I want your little ***** V6?
You keep missing the point entirely, read this thread, you car isn’t in the same LEAGUE as a 63. Next time get your weight up, if you can little guy.

I love my M3 the way it handle with pure confidence i never got that with C63s. Maybe cuz i got to experience real road in Germany and here in NYC i am hitting IEDs on every road. But The F80 M3 is and by far the best handling car i have owned...and this is before the competition package came about which i heard made it much better.

Lmfao you argue like a butthurt little kid. Yes I totally roll up to the thrift store in a CLS63. Yes, my investment expertise tells me that taking a $40k depreciation hit on a brand new REAL AMG CLS63 was foolish when I could be buying Tesla on dips, and also why I live in a 4,000 square foot house in the most expensive zip code in my city for just me and my wife. My car was perfect when I bought it, still much more expensive than your C450 new, and it’s a better car in literally every way possible. I don’t need to defend it.

I’ve owned an M3 comp, M4 comp, and Giulia QV and C63 is just as capable. I say that C63 plays that dual personality better than any of the cars I just listed.

look at the track times of 2019 C63 coupe vs M2 competition and 2015 M4. They haven’t done the newer M4 yet. How about against Giulia QV?? I thought for sure that Giulia would be faster on track.

+1...Most of the improvements in the FL went towards driving dynamics, handling and grip. The new traction control in the S, along with the new AMG DYNAMICS system, revised suspension and faster shifting transmission with shorter gears and a proper set of tires (PS4S or Cup 2) and the FL C63S is as capable if not more capable than the M4 etc. AMGs used to be more straight line performers in the past, especially the 204 some seem to use as their point of reference. That's no longer the case.

That’s a lot of extra weight throwing around. I’ve have not drove the CS or GTS models of the M4 yet. It would probably be day and night compare to the base M4. I believe the CS model stripped an addition 200 lbs. with an increased of 50 hp.

Weight is definitely a factor, but also need to make sure you compare like for like. The M4 can be had with a lighter manual transmission and fixed suspension. The specified curb weight is that of the lightest possible configuration. The DCT and adaptive suspension add weight. I think the M Differential is now standard, so that should be included in the curb weight. The C63/S only comes with automatic transmission and adaptive suspension standard. Bigger wheels also need to be factored in with the M4 being available with ligher 18" wheels. It be interesting to put a fully loaded M4 and C63S on an actual scale side-by-side, with the M4 having DCT etc. and every option including the Competition package and both with ceramic brakes and 20" wheels on both at least in the rear. I suspect the weight will be a lot closer.

It's simple, c43s and c450s are not real AMGs.
Mercedes is absolutely capable of making great cars without AMG. The cars listed above are, in fact, incredible cars and a great value for the money. Anyone buying them is getting a great car from Mercedes without paying the AMG tax. Anyone attempting to argue that the cars are **** is just childish.
Remember, our cars are the lowest "real" AMGs. No need to put someone down for their choice of purchase. The whole buying new vs used argument is stupid. I personally like having a brand new car, so I got the c63s. If I were buying used I would be in an e63s right now.
There also has to be a way to agree on what makes a "real" AMG. It can't be 'how it drives' as thats subjective. It can't be whether or not it has the badge, as anyone can throw a badge on anything.
I think the most logical way to determine whether or not a car is an AMG is based on who built the engine. If it was AMG, then its an AMG. It's a car after all, the engine is a pretty important part of it.
