Huge shoutout to E.C.I. on ebay for the work they did on my steering wheel. Everything was tailor made - got to pick leather type for side grips, stitching color, carbon fiber (+weave direction) or leather/alcantara , ring inlay, leather + stitched airbag. They even switched out the oe shift pedals to Brabus for me! The Brabus pedals have a very nice tactile click and feel very high quality! They coded it, all the buttons work, just no vibe or heat which I didn't have before anyway. Doesn't feel like the wisest purchase right now but ordered it before SHTF.
Thought I'd share in case anyone is considering a retrofit. Definitely hit them up, their communication & response times are amazing!

Looks great - don't let anybody tell differently. Just for my clarification - you have a pre-FL and fitted this FL type steering wheel? I like that you can get rid of the alcantara...Alcantara ts a bear to keep clean. Would like to learn what ebay seller you used and what info you had to provide and $$. Maybe PM?
Looks good but I know for a fact that they made it using NON AMG, NON flat bottom steering wheel and reshaped it to look like the OEM AMG wheel. Also the trims are replicas also, the real AMG silver chrome trims have more shine. This is common among the Ebay Chinese seller. Just a heads up because i am sure you spent some big $$$ on that.
Compare that to this.
Uhm, what do you expect...that they use a OEM FL wheel to start with, makes no sense? For what it is worth, I would pick his over yours...
I did spend a good amount, thank you for the heads up. Looking at it closer at how the bottom trim pieces come together under the edges do indeed look like replica quality. Thats a bummer, thanks again. It's too bad because their work is good and was shipped from CA and were incredible to deal with.

Thank you! Ya, i've got a 17 - you can tell by the small screen and no digital cluster. Chose perforated leather for that exact reason and thought it would match the seats really well. The little strip on top is an exact match to the alcantara on the seats & door panels. Even has uniform finger indents on the top back of the carbon.

No worries at all, much appreciate the heads up. For sure, at the very least disclose what parts are replicas.
Heard back from the vendor regarding the ? of genuine parts (yes, he replied @ 8pm on a sun) - He sent me pictures of the genuine boxes w/part #s (shipped from MB Scottsdale), etc that were used and insists that the parts are genuine - I believe him. Maybe its just the picture/light. Regardless, I know i'm going to enjoy the wheel and appreciate the craftsmanship.

It still looks good and is brand new. I wouldn't think past that. Side note - does anyone do re-upholstery on the Dinamic part of the steering wheel? Mine looks horrible at this point. How much does that cost?

Selling the car soon and swapped the wheel back to stock. Paid 2.6K + controller adapter. The Brabus padels tactile feel are much nicer than stock also. Looking to sell for 2K. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks.
I've just bought my 5th custom steering wheel from abroad it'll be like the picture custom facelift wheel with led and forged carbon. I paid around £800 well worth it.
On audis they are plug and play, not tried it in a mercedes however I assume its the same concept. Only thing is cruise control buttons don't work but that's not an issue since I'll be using the stalk.
