I have read many info about this, but not very conclusive.

Any option of installing carplay in my 2017 c63s coupe with stock screen? Cannot use the OBD cause my car is June 2017 😬

Have any of you gone that way?

Yes, Unichip, Joyauto and others sell plug and play units that you can use. However if you're going that route, I would suggest just get an aftermarket android screen that comes with carplay.

Actually I do have an aftermarket screen with carplay, but somehow not comfortable enough knowing is not oem, even considering it works correctly

Thats why I am thinking on going back to oem with CarPlay and having all original controls from console and all

Hmm the android screens I've seen retains all OEM knob control functions with all OEM functionalities. Does yours not do those things?

Mine retains all oem functionalities but cannot control CarPlay through the bottons, just by touching the screen

Had considered one of those, only issue for me is screen fits to high compared to oem one and somehow breaks the harmony of the interior.

do you have command or audio 20 in your c63? if you have audio 20, there is an oem option. if you have command, only aftermarket is option. or you can "downgrade" to audio 20 to get oem carplay. you sacrifice 1" of screen. but it sounds like you may value the oem flawless integration vs having the biggest screen money can buy.

Yes I have command, but still want apple CarPlay, so i will need to go aftermarket

No, downgrade not an option, 8,4” is in the limit of what I consider acceptable

I tryed joyeauto carplay. Received very fast. The installation is easy, but i had problem to locate the box itself. There is no place underneath the command.
Finaly tryed, but had some problem with using. Navigate between carplay and original system. Its not working like oem carplay.
I sent back.

Yes that is my worry also, thing not working as oem

Interested in the DMP screen. Anyone have experience with that? How much would that cost in labor to install? I would not be installing myself.
