Thumbs up OFFSET QUESTION - 20" AFTERMARKET WHEELS

Hey Everyone!

Looking for a little more help if I could! I was originally planning on powder coating my stock AMG wheels on my c63s AMG coupe, but have since decided to change the look. I know the purists will say stick with 19's and more tire meat, but Im pretty set on going 20x9 and 20x10. I looked through 12 pages of archived posts and couldn't find any info despite the fact that others are running 20's. So my question is for those who are, or who considered it. What are your thoughts on offset for those wheels?? Brixton is suggesting +25 front and +35 rear....ANYONE????

As always, thanks in advance!

coupe or sedan?
I have a sedan and use
20x9.5 +35 with 265/30 tires
20x10.5 + 57 with 285/30 tires
it fits and is pretty flush w/o rubbing.

for sedan, +35 in rear is too small on 20x10 even if you go down to 275 - too much poke.

mine is a coupe...I should note that I also have a KW HAS kit I have not yet installed, and that I dont want tires poking out from fenders/quarters.

okay, coupe guys need to chime in as they are wider in rear...but for coupe why not even go to 10.5 or even 11?

Maybe because of the drop...not sure. Hoping to gather a few folks's data to try and figure best fitment

I am in the same situation - have the KW HAS waiting for shops/streets to open up again to install....you will likely get a handful of comments to also add the camber kit....I don't plan on it, adds some small camber but makes the wheels fit better (btw Renntech opinion no camber kit needed on our cars for the usual moderate drop we do) ...and yes, I know what it does to tires (just in case someone will tell here).

Im aware of the uneven wear that would result. I wasnt planning on adding the camber kit either, which makes proper offset more important. I appreaciate the replies though. All good info! Hopefully we've got some coupe guys who can chime in...

Thank you!

I dont know how or if a drop will affect this but why get a 10" wide rim when stock is 10.5"? My coupe isnt lowered but if I was gonna change my wheels my rim would be 11" so I could nicely fit 305s in the back

never go smaller than OEM (did not recognize that earlier), there is no reason with or without a drop. Coupe guys can chime in but I would size one up to 11 and just pick the right offset.

look here to get some ideas for coupes https://www.bcforged-na.com/project/...mr-autowerkes/

Well for anyone who may encounter this, I spoke with numerous people I follow on IG and a friend who just put 20" HRE's on his c63s coupe (he already had the KW HAS kit when he pruchased). I went with 20x11 in the rear et50 and 20x10 in the front et20. I just ordered today and they should arrive in a week or two as they needed to be manufactured with custom offsets. I'll post pics when I get them on. But I can't be the only one looking to run this way, so we shall see!
