any kind of change will result in warranty being voided for that component. My exhaust valve started malfunctioning within the first 5000 kms but Mercedes refused to even look at it because I had my secondary cats removed.

I'm contemplating the same on my gf's 2019 C63 convertible or possibly a 2020 C63s coupe for myself. Did you go C63s coupe @Dasweb ?
I've been searching Renntech, Brabus, Weistec, DInan, & DME Tune for tunes. Exhaust/down pipes I've seen Renntech, Capristo, Fi Exhaust, Akrapovic, Brabus...
My understanding if you go with the full exhaust you'll need to Tune to override the codes for the down pipe sensors. Love to hear some feedback as well

And yes, I read the same. Honestly the exhaust isn't too bad, so I might just go catback.

I own a 2020 as well. Tell you what, when it's coming down the street it sounds like.... a big Ducati. It's that thrumming of that V8 rumble with the Sport exhaust. No mods required IMO.

I went with a armytrix cat-back exhaust for my 2019 c63s, it got louder but I lost the pops. Then I got Modal Works high flow downpipes and it now sounds much better. In my opinion, a cat-back exhaust system is
not worth it and if you want downpipes, it is probably going to void your warranty.

the answer to your question is none as far as warranty goes.

Is the 2019/20 exhaust that bad lol... Im planning to upgrade from an 18 to a 19 for the new tech (and possibly improved burmester sound system) and i prefer to keep my configurations stock. Guess you can't have everything

I've had my 2019 C63S Coupe for a year now and in terms of crackles and pops, you need to push the car harder in order to get them. They're not as "on demand" as the 2018 models. In terms of loudness I think it's pretty much the same across the board.

Go catback if you want near 100% safety for warranty.
When you start playing with cats, which are considered a more invasive modification, then some service departments will start getting fussy (i.e. start blaming engine issues on the exhaust). At that point, make sure you have a good relationship with your service advisor.
And before anyone confidently says Magnessun Moss act protects you, it only protects you if you take it all the way to legal action. Unless you are okay with having the dealership hold onto your car until that happens, which they are legally allowed to do, you basically have to pay them. Dealerships know that almost no customer will ever actually sue them, so many departments have no qualms finding farfetched reasons to deny warranty claims.
Finally, if someone is wondering "why would a dealership deny warranty, they get paid for it". Warranty work pays significantly less (oftentimes a fixed book value at a lower labor rate), and a lot of employee compensation structures do not reward getting warranty work. Also, having too much warranty work leads to auditing by the manufacturer. Rant over.

Here is a cold start if anyone is wondering.
I think, after doing research, the best case scenario for 100% keeping warranty and sound good is the valve module (to keep them open) and a catback exhaust.
The exhaust sounds amazing when the valves are fully open, I wish the performance exhaust button did that.

If all you want is louder, without horse power gains or warranty concerns, then a cat back might fit the bill. However, Depending on what you brought it in for, I wouldn't put it past a dealership's service department to blame a problem on it.
However this car sounds so amazing from the factory, And is definitely louder than normal, so always been hard for me to justify the expense and any warranty concern related to a cat back, considering that there are little to no horsepower gains with one.

Will a secondary cat delete will give you a lot of grief as well? Did anyone figure out if the NA cars have that gas particulate filter or is it just exclusive to europe like m4?
