New to the W205 C63 Club

Hello all,

Long time member of MBWorld, just picked up a 2017 CPO C63 Sedan. Traded in my 2012 E550 coupe. The 63 has black napa leather, premium 3, pano roof, CF interior, and the forged cross spokes. I've only had it for 2 days and have already driven it a couple hundred miles, loving it so far. Going to try and enjoy it stock for a little while...but we'll see how long that lasts...haha. Pics below:

I came from a 2014 E550 coupe to a 2017 C63 Cabriolet. Totally different cars in every way.

Thanks! Yeah the C2V3 is a godsend, best spray wax/sealant I've ever used.

Thanks! I took the wheels off before trading her in...so perhaps a little piece of her will live on...haha, have to test fit when I get some time.

Thanks! Congrats on your upgrade as well! I remember seeing you around the 207 forum for a bit. Yeah, the 63 feels so much more tight/sporty, I'm really loving it. I guess this is the natural progression now that the e-coupe lost the v8s

Yeah, I loved the biturbo 4.7l v8 in the E550 coupe. It was a such a great package. Sadly, the brakes really let that car down. Mine was getting up there in mileage and starting to cause me some trouble and it was out of warranty so I decided to get rid of it. I took great care of it though so someone got a nice clean E550 that was well loved and driven daily.

The v8 in the C63 is a whole nuther level.

I was in the same boat, just crossed the 100K mark, had the turbo coolant lines fail which was an expensive fix, started to keep an eye out at that point. Yeah, whoever gets my coupe is getting a hell of a deal, I left most of my mods on just because it would have cost me more to remove them than I would have been able to sell them for, plus it had been 100% dealer serviced with all recommended maintenance done. The sales manager was asking me a ton of questions about the it after I traded it in...I have a feeling he might pick it up...haha. I got sick of changing rotors and pads every 7 - 10K miles, so bit the bullet and put some racing brake 2 pc rotors on it, helped a ton.

I'm definitely loving the C63, I've gone for random drives just because every night since I bought it. Its a blast to drive, but just as comfortable as the 550 when cruising around in comfort mode.

Thanks! Me too, the 550 coupe with a tune and upgraded C63 brakes is as close as we'll ever come now it seems

Got the front PPFd and washed/coated it with the Dr. Beasley's kit. Spaced out the wheels a bit as well (15mm front, 12.5 rear). Couldn't resist a quick photo shoot.

Got a really good deal on a used OEM CF diffuser, finally lit the fire under my butt and I installed the CF front trim and panamericana grill I took off of the old sedan! Polished everything up with Dr. Beasleys CF polish and ceramic coated it all before the install. Also put the model update radiator guard things on while I had the front bumper off.

Looking good, really like the wideness of your rear after you spaced them out.. if you're able to get those bumper warts off that will really make it legit special.

Saw your past posts in the thread and how you traded in the sedan for the coupe. What do you like about the coupe over the sedan?

Thanks! Mostly, I like the way the coupe looks more than the sedan. It was always the "plan", I got a great deal on the sedan, so it was a wonderful stopgap in between V8 coupes! The coupe also just feels more like a sports car (to me at least). It feels a little stiffer, maybe slightly less comfortable, but in the best possible way. I will say, a few times a year over the last couple years I've missed a back seat and more trunk room though...lol, seeing the car every time my garage opens makes up for that the other ~360 days a year.
