Michelin PS4S 285/30/20 FYI

I'm currently running 265/30/20 and 285/30/20 on my 63S sedan. Noticed that my rear tires were losing traction during the rain. Of course, took a look and noticed that they need to be replaced. I went to discount tire and called Tire Rack regarding availabilty. Both are out of stock at this point until Mid July. Had to order the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. There is no way I can wait until July. Just wanted to give a headsup to anyone running the Michelin PS4S 285/30/20 and getting low on tread. Might want to ease up on the burnouts and/or hard acceleration.

btw, 295/30/20 is available however, sidewall is to tall for my H&R lowered vehicle.

This has been a public service announcement...lol

Good post Chi. I've been searching for 295 PS4S here in Australia but having a hard time sourcing them at the moment so I need 285 PS4S - I want to ask you something, when you changed over to 285/30/20 PS4S tires, were you able eliminate 2nd gear wheelspin in WOT?
Also, are you stock or tuned?

Bro that sucks! Back when I got my 295's (pre-pandemic) they actually could not find any PSS 285 and had my PS4S 295 in stock.
I was already thinking about it...so pulled the trigger...got lucky I guess?

Good luck but I would not think PS4S in 285 is going to make a huge difference in traction as it will still be stretched some and less contact on the ground than the 295.
But if you need tires I would rather have the PS4S...I guess???

I am stock. I still do get a bit of 2nd gear wheel spin.

Completely sucks!!! They have the 295/30/20 in stock but we determined based on my H&R lowering springs, the 295 will prob rub. I was tempted but didn't want to risk it. So, I really didn't have much of a choice.
