ISO: active sound module

In search of an active sound module for a 2017, if anyone is looking to sell theirs because they got a facelift or what have you.

Also curious if anyone has been able to get a deal on them through anyone. I believe I read there was a contact for someone from the company for forum members?

Cheers

The only deal was on this forum when we had a group buy on it several years ago from ASR.

If you want to buy new and you’re in the states, unfortunately you will need to buy it rebranded/licensed it as a RennTech product for about double the price we paid years ago. ASR isn’t allowed to sell to the states, you can only get Renntech’s rebranded version new.

I do still have the ASR module on my ‘17 Coupe, and no, I’m not looking to sell it 😋

Your o2 sim trick worked, though, right? Maybe that's a better option at this point

Why can't they sell to the states? I'm in Canada and the renntech one will come to just shy of $1000 after shipping, tax, duty, FedEx fees, etc. Which is WAY more than I think it's worth

I do have a set of AWE valve sims but then I'm stuck being loud all the time. I'm going back to stock exhaust with the addition of catless dp's now so I'd like to be able to quiet it down as much as possible when I want. The police around here have really started picking on any modded car lately and giving them vehicle inspections, and as you probably know with the sims it's always full open flaps.

If we were able to source the product directly from Germany via an acquaintance, etc. and ship to the U.S., would there be any compatibility issues with U.S. spec models?

I don't think so as last time I researched these when I first got my car last summer, everyone was just ordering them direct at the time. I'm not sure what had changed since then, aside from the price 😳

Believe ASR sold the US distribution rights to Renntech.
