Took the car out to the strip for the first time tonight. My times were all over for the first few passes as I played with finding the sweet spot for launching. Ended up having the best success with sport+, traction control all the way off, and bumping the rpms down in race start closer to 3k/3.5k rpm.
Best run was my last run of the night (6 passes). Car is still 100% stock with 21k miles.
This is in St. Louis so fairly warm afternoon/evening with some humidity. Elevation is few hundred feet. I actually had a run before this at 12.1 as well at 118mph. My mph was ranging anywhere from 114-118 all evening.

Nice man. I'm looking to go to the track sometime soon. I am in Dallas. Sometimes a tune hurts you more if you don't have a good feel for your car. My tune makes 1-2nd gear basically useless as my tires spin the majority of the time. I use a draggy and I'm trying to position the throttle in the right position to achieve the best results. It is a lot more difficult then I thought it would be. From the video looks like you had a pretty good launch for the most part. With a tune you would of had a little more top end speed to bring your time down a bit.
I haven’t been to the Track in my 2017 C63 AMG Sedan with EC Stage 2 Tune and an AWE Exhaust.
I tried Dragy a few times. Maybe 7-8 runs total the 2 times I used it over the last year I had it.
My best time was from a few weeks ago and it was HOT, like near 100! My Time was 7.92 but my Speed was almost 96 MPH In the 1/8th which I think isn’t too shabby.
I know from racing my Vette years ago at the 1/4 Mile Strip, the 60’ Plays a HUGE Role in getting a good time. You get good 60’ by HOOKING UP well! That’s hard to do on these cars. My best 60’ was 1.52 in my Vette but I ran BFG Drag Radials.
I just got Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S Tires 2 weeks ago but it still spins if you mash the pedal.
nice. I think stock S models should hit 116-119 mph in 1/4 on average. Not common to hit 120-s MPH stock ( And I dont care that C&D got a 122 out of an S, its not normal). Its been done in rare conditions but hard to reproduce in 99% of conditions.
Non-S cars are probably 114-118 stock, slight behind S. Once tuned the S's advantage disappears.
Went again this evening and my first run was my best of the night. Car hooked up extremely well off the line and made the difference in getting to 11.8.
I had two more runs after this but never was able to hook up as well as my first run. I did get to almost 120mph on my final run of the night but also had my worst 60ft unfortunately.
Yeah these cars are extremely hard to launch correctly. Too much wheel spin. I am sure we can get into 120’s consistently with stickier tires and a good prepped track.
