I recently paid, wheels £1650 unmarked, hub caps £240, TPMS £240, tyres new £900. Total for a brand new set, with new tyres fitted, looking at £3100 gbp. I think $5500 with used tyres is strong money.

I just picked up a brand new set from a forum member for $1,800 and had brand new Michelin PS4S mounted for $1,300. They are great wheels but you will likely need to come down a bit if you really want to sell them.

There is a difference between negotiating a fair price and being redicolous and some take lowballers as insult. Like new original, forged rim sets go for 2k to 3k (corrected myself) and that is without tires, TPMS etc. If you can't afford them, don't insult the seller.

I could easily afford them. I don’t need them though nor do I want them that badly.
Whether or not the seller is insulted by my offer means absolutely nothing to me. Take it or leave it.

Because I don't like lowballers, I find it just wrong, and I sold mine long time ago.
PS: I do agree that 5.5k is too much but 2k with tires is just too low.

Like I said, they’re only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. No reason to be offended. If someone else wants to pay more for them so be it. He responded to my offer with a counter of $5500 which is way too much. I don’t really care for black wheels so buying these wheels would be a compromise for me but at the price I offered I think I could live with it. Any more and I may as well just buy two new OEM cross spoke wheels in silver or have mine refinished or repaired.
I don’t know how many miles you get out of a set of tires but my last set lasted about 11k miles. Unless these were never driven on they really don’t factor into it in my opinion and since the seller hasn’t stated how many miles they were driven and the one pic he attached is so small that you can’t really tell how worn they are I’m just going with the assumption that they are worn and will likely need to be replaced soon.
Well this thread had everything, low ballers and profiteering! Both I dislike tbh. Be lucky to get them for 2k, bit it's a starting point for negotiation. The silver wheels are the same part number btw. The centre caps are also big bucks from Merc brand new. That's said, 5.5k is Dreamland especially with no detail on the tyres.
More to the point, why aren't these threads in the for sale section!?

OP, this is an Amazing deal! If people think this is expensive for brand new condition, then tell’ em to go to the dealer and pay half that for one rim! (Excluding tire)
If anyone knows about these oem forged wheels is that they are damn expensive so price is more then fair! If you weren’t so far from me (I’m in Toronto) I would consider them rather then refinishing mine, as mine are a little bit beat up.

I am just amazed at all the views on this, all the while, everyone always posting on how bad the AMG Tax is , but now want to defend it ?
Of course MB is going to charge 5K for them.. thats what they do.. doesnt mean they are worth it, or that is what the street value is on them.
hell goto Miami , LA, Chicago , give the guy on the corner 500.00 and the next day he will show up with 4 rims and tires for ya.
Aftermarket wheels/rims etc (ie HRE, ...) hold more value then Original all day long.
The main reason on cost from dealer is simple, they dont like to deal with large heavy items, and wheels/rims/tires are a pain in the a$$ for them.. (logistically) - yes of course they need them to sell the cars, etc etc, but as for keeping extra's around, and over adjusting for
it, is a pain in the rear.
NOTE: I have had the wheels stolen of my e63, came out an my car was on blocks , atleast they did a good job and didnt mess up anything on the car. (def was a pro job)
My insurance replaced them, and dealer charge them @9K when all said and done... I paid my 250.00 deductible.
