Does these cars need rust protection sprayed?

I got my car sprayed underneath with Krown Rustproofing T40, this is actually a Canadian product, was quick and easy and gives me piece of mind. Only cost me £250, it's a semi permanent product, so lubricates and seals, but will eventually rub off and needs doing every 2 years or so.
I had another car that just rotted away underneath and it ruined the experience knowing what a shed it was underneath.

i dont think rust is gonna be a problem in most modern cars unless you are owning them for 10+ years. Driven my cars for up to 6 years here in canada without getting any extra rustproofing done and have had no issues.

Speaking to my local MOT garage, he was telling me that mercs are bad for rust as did another friend who owns a Merc indy. It's now something I look at when buying cars, my wife wanted an Evoque and almost every single one I looked at was rusty underneath.
