Hard time finding quality aftermarket instock ED 1 Front Lip for SEDAN

What's good fellas,

It has been so SO HARD finding a quality aftermarket Edition 1 Front Splitter for my SEDAN.

At first, I ordered one from JL-Motoring, it took about a month to receive and once delivered it was missing the fender extensions and had a scratch on the CF so had to return before even attempting to fit it. JL-Motoring refunded my purchase but refused to cover return shipping (even if this was clearly their miss).

Second, I ordered one through RW Carbon on October 14, I received a call from them saying that they were out of stock and are expecting a shipments 3-4 weeks, I said no problem. 5 weeks go by, I call and they said it was going to be another 3-4 weeks, I was bummed out but was fine with waiting longer. I let 5 weeks go by (end of December), I call again and sure enough they tell me the sale thing 3-4 weeks and at that point I told them to cancel my order for a refund. (Side note, my buddy experienced the same exact thing with his M3 Spoiler). I told them to let me know when they are back in stock and I will purchase from them then.

Third, I got desperate and ordered one through EBAY, made in Taiwan. It shipped and delivered within 3 days of ordering with no damage and when time came to test fit, it was way off. Like when I positioned one side perfectly the other side was way off. Surprisingly, Seller accepted return with no questions asked and provided me the label.

Fourth, I went into this deep search for one in EU, hoping their quality would be any better. I found a company called "storm motorsport" in UK. Theirs had predrilled holes and came with adhesive and screws ect. I emailed them, they said they did not ship to the US but said this one fits perfectly. I had my friend in UK order for me. I received it and it looks super nice BUT again it did not fit either (similar to EBAY one). while removing it I chipped a very small non CF section so not sure I'd be able to return it (out a $1k now)

Anyway now I'm not sure what route to go.

Option 1 - Take Storm Motorsport to a body shop and see if they could make it work, maybe they know of something I don't.

Option 2 - Try Mode Carbon (but they also seems to be out of stock 6-8 weeks out, which puts us in End of March/April). I also read some posts about their issues filling orders etc.

Option 3 - Try Yomato to ask about fitment and confirm whether they have them instock (still waiting)

Option 4 - Wait until RW carbon is back in stock.

Option 5 - Part of me wishes I tried test fitting JL-Motoring splitter even with the scratch just to see if I should order from them again.

Option 6 - While I love and prefer the Edition 1 Style, go a different route and get me Maxton Design splitter and hope it would fit perfectly.

Thoughts? Recommendations?

I have a mode carbon diffuser and rw carbon front CF trim, both fit extremely well, installed both myself in my driveway. Given the issues you've had with the items that are immediately available I'd say either/or are worth the wait.

Same issue here, having trouble with the front lip. Personally prefer the stock lip, but dealer quoted me for 1700 usd and only for 3 piece of plastic
BTW, any updates?

I try tied option 1 (see above), body shop did an ok job, still not too happy with the fitment as I can still see a few imperfections. Good enough to keep on the car until I find a better option. From a distance, I really like the look but knowing me I won’t rest until I get it right 😂 which means this going to sadly cost me a lot more dough...

The oem coupe ed1 lips are made by pretty soft plastic, so it fits pretty good on the bumper lineup.

I have the sedan. I don’t believe the coupe ED1 lip would fit since the coupes bumper is wider.
