Driver's age related to exhaust sounds

At 63, I do realize I am probably in the higher range of C63s ownership (when my car arrives). The sounds of the C63s Cabriolet I test drove were pleasing, not overstated. As I read many posts on this forum, it is apparent to me that several members want more exhaust sound than the stock C63s provides.
Being 63 years old, am I in the upper range of C63s ownership? Are there any other dinosaurs like me out there?

No more MB:(
In my 50's, owned and will continue to own AMG's, even thought not sure what they will even sound like in a few years with all the greenies. I always preferred stock exhaust, not age related IMO, just good taste!

I'm 48 and while I like the exhaust note, it could be a little rowdier. That being said after hearing a few different options I haven't been crazy about anything I've heard. I know for sure I don't need any extra pops via a tune as that sounds a bit much to me.

I'm 70. My 2018 C63s makes music to my ears. I seldom play the radio as I consider it a distraction to the exhaust sounds.

I'm 37 and love the sound of mine - bone stock 2017 coupe with the AMG Performance Exhaust. I wouldn't mind having it be a bit louder in some instances, but overall, I am very happy with the way it sounds. I definitely do not want any more pops and crackles than it already has, as I think the tunes that do that are a bit "boy racer." I keep going back and forth on whether I will do downpipes on this car, and if so, catted or cat less. Would probably help if I could hear some in person at some point.

32 here with a non PE car. Going to delete the secondary cats for a little more noise. From what I gather this adds about 15-20% more exhaust noise, similar to the PE.
I have aftermarket exhaust systems on all of my cars though lol. None of them are obnoxious in my opinion..

AMG's have traditionally targeted a higher age demographic than competitors. I attribute that to how AMG is perceived as having Mercedes luxury with AMG sport and rowdiness - without the shouty over the top looks of the competitors. It's the ultimate understated German muscle car. Though with MB going further and further down in price with AMG-lite models, the demographics are definitely shifting lower in age as they become more attainable with the 35/45/55 models.

I'll be 35 next month and I bought my '17 C63S Coupe new and picked it up Q3 2016. I added an ASR module to keep the exhaust valves open all the time and that helped. Then I went catted downpipes and that was right at my threshold of tolerance for this car... I've had other cars that were much louder than this, albeit I was also much younger and cared less about neighbors 😉

I’m 53 and I love the pops and bangs from my 2017 C63 Cabriolet when in Sport+ mode. I tend to put it in that mode once warmed up and just leave it there all the time. This car brings out the hooligan in me I guess.

28 here and it seems a little tame even compared to my n54. i wish it were a bit louder and had a few more pops and bangs(stupid facelift particle filter). I will probably do catless downpipes in the future.

I’m you, 35 years later lol
Enjoy good sounding cars as much as you can before gas operated cars become banned in some places at some point in time. I bet when I’m your age, there won’t be any v12, v10, v8 engines

picked up my coupe when i was 28. Initially I was very happy with the stock performance exhaust but as time went by I had that itch to make it louder and thus first came Secondary Cat Delete, then ASR module and then AWE Track Exhaust. Love the way it sounds now, always ready to rumble!

⏱️ 700HP Facelift converted C63 S Coupe with Drexler 3.06 plated LSD
I hate loud and droney cars. I'm 39 and found the exhaust of my 2017 C63s Coupe a bit too quiet even in loud mode. I was always folding the back seats down just to hear a bit more but it still wasn't enough. After getting the secondary cats removed it's now perfect because it's still whisper quiet with the exhaust valves closed but rowdy once you hammer it.

And now that i've done a full facelift exterior upgrade on my 2017 it looks like a new one but sounds like the prefacelift 🤗

At weeks away from 70, I prefer the term "Ol' Fart" (as long as it's applied with at least a bit of respect). #;-)

For public-road driving, I normally use the sport/loud mode. On the track, it's race/loud mode with the rear seats folded down ... and the sound is loud 'n glorious (pre-FL C43 and C63 S, both with performance exhaust systems, of course). My goal is to be doing this at 80 (and I don't mean mph).

I'm 59 and mine has lots of mods but exhaust hasn't been one of them ..... I have a tune with the pops and crackles but to honest its annoying after awhile . I keep seeing all these videos of guys accelerating then letting off for the sound ...I much rather see a full out 1/4 mile pass

38 non-PE stock sound and I think its great to be able to have a friendship with my neighbors. I do wish some of these exhaust manufacturers worked on the symphony and sound like Tubi or eisenmen do. AMG's are just not tinkered with like BMWs...

26 over here with a ‘16. I found the exhaust notes with the performance exhaust really nice and had the perfect amount of pops. I went catless downpipes though and love it under acceleration. Different level of excitement and feeling. When I got the car tuned the tuner added the “burble” tune but to me that was terrible. I had him remove that and just kept the stock pops and bangs because it’s the perfect amount. In general I am a fan of loud vehicles but hate the drone hence why I just went with doing the dps and that’s it for exhaust. May get a valve module to control the valves myself. The one thing I’ll say though is the sound coming from under the hood with an open air intake is music to ALL ears. The way you hear the turbos spool sucking more air to the moment it purged and you get the psss sound. Sound is the number 1 priority for me when driving and gives me some of the most pleasures behind a wheel. Nothing like feeling the Gs on a windy road whilst feeling the v8 rumble
