I don't know, something about mixing carbon fiber with hot exhaust gases just doesn't sound right. Can't imagine what these exhaust tips would look like over time.

I've had friends with hitch-mounted bike racks that had their carbon bike wheels crack/explode on them because of the exhaust gases heating up the carbon while driving. Heat and carbon fiber do not mix well.

Looks like cheap China made products, no thanks.

I wouldn’t worry, the OEM gloss or carbon fiber diffusers sits right on top of these exhaust tips without fading or cracking issues so it should be good.

I had aftermarket diffuser also without any issues.

True, plus they aren’t attached to the actual exhaust so they don’t get nearly as hot. I have had a carbon fiber muffler on my Ducati for years and it is attached to the exhaust header so it is an integral part of the exhaust about 2-3 ft of open tubing away from the cylinder heads and it still looks as good as the day I got it. Funny thing is, you can touch the CF muffler right after you shut the engine off but you don’t want to touch any metal bits of the exhaust.

The entire muffler is CF and this is an 1198cc Ducati L-twin engine making 150hp. It is a high performance bike and it generates a lot of heat.

I’m guessing the issue with the bicycle wheels was related to pressure in the tires due to heat and not the carbon fiber wheels themselves. They make Formula One cars out of this stuff after all.

That said, you get what you pay for. If it’s real CF and it is a quality piece you won’t have any problem with it.
