Does anyone have experience adding strut bar(s) into their C63s? I am contemplating getting ones made by Boca Design (see below) and looking to validate this actually add value.
Considering the triangulating bars up front that come from factory, I honestly doubt these do anything but provide a “look”. Save your money for carbon exterior bits that you enjoy every time you look at your car vs. rarely open you hood. I understand their purpose in theory, but I don’t think this car needed them or they would have been added a’la M3/M4. Just my .02.
Considering the mount points, and looking at how they are constructed and mounted, hightly doubt they do anything other then give you the impression they are doing something.
( IMO they are pointless ) as I am not sure I have felt much flex in the car that would require that for its purpose vs looks )
So like others have said, if you want it for the sake of " look at this thing in my engine " then go for it.. I would rather spend the money on something you want otherwise..
@FLC63s you hit the nail in the head because I was questioning mount points too and wasn’t certain they’d provide any handling/body roll benefit.
There is this thread over on C43 section where a someone installed a complete underbody strut bars set from Ultraracing. Looks like he was noticed a significant increase in stiffness, improvement in handling and less body roll.
