Satellite radio only goes to channel 219

Okay, I have SiriusXM because over the air radio is crap and I can’t stand to listen to it but my wife’s CLS had over 300 channels and her new Range Rover also has over 300 channels so why does my 2017 Mercedes C63 only go up to channel 219?

Do I need a firmware update from Mercedes for my COMAND system?

That question is better directed at SiriusXM. The channels you receive depend on your subscription. Your receiver gets the channel line up from the satellite based on your subscription and you only see the channels you can access. If your channel line up is messed up, they can send a signal to your receiver to refresh it. I think you can also trigger the signal from their website if you login to your account. Also make sure you don't have any filters set.

My account is an all access account and I have all the channels when I login and stream online and in my wife’s car but not in my car for some reason. I have done the refresh signal thing a couple times. I will call them again today.

Make sure you are not paying more than $4.99/MO for full service. If they don't offer it to you, tell them to cancel and then they will.

The reason more than likely is because years ago Sirrius and XM were 2 different companies and auto manufacturers used one or the other. Even though they merged the manufacturers still receive channels based on their configuration.

That's only an issue on much older cars. Sirius and XM completed their merger in 2008. And cars from before the merger either have a Sirius or an XM receiver, so they only receive a subset of the channels, but I'm pretty sure the W205 which came out in 2015 (7 years after the merger completed) has a combined SiriusXM receiver, the FL definitely does. My 2007 Audi S4 had a Sirius receiver, but my subsequent 2013 RS5 had a SiriusXM receiver, so I would be very surprised if the PFL didn't have a SiriusXM receiver.

It's possible but I've had a few newer cars that have had this issue. Never paid attention to it on this one. I guess the easy answer would be for a channel line up comparison PFL to FL.

I'm not a 100% sure on this, but I believe the giveaway is SiriusXM Traffic. Neither Sirius nor XM had traffic as far as I know, and you need a SiriusXM receiver to receive the traffic channel data which is how the PFL gets it. Same was the case for my RS5. The FL gets traffic data over the Internet, so it does no longer apply there.
